I don't understand BYND at all in the first place. People aren't buying due to it being cheaper than real meat since real meat is cheaper. They're not buying because it's healthy since it clearly isn't. I find the idea that vegans/vegetarians choose it because it tastes like meat (it doesn't) but isn't meat strange and insufficient to explain it. I and many others also noticed that they were always at full stock even while meat was gone in every supermarket.
AQB at least makes sense on its head: note that I would never, not in a million year, eat AQB fish knowingly, but they can provide far cheaper fish to the masses when wild fish supplies are harder to get to and demand grows.
