In the UK I'd say WH Smith - they have money in the bank, and a model that isn't just dependent on the high street (they shifted heavily to railway stations, etc). It mooned a lot in the tail end of last year, and I think it's safe now and will jump again in a couple of months when things start opening up again in the UK. Longer term, IAG might be a good bet. They diluted shares to raise capital last year, so have money in the bank, and their airlines include flag carriers with states as shareholders. It might seem volatile as different news comes in about opening/closing of routes, but the worst of it is over for them and I reckon they will make significant gains over the next couple of years (but it is a risky one as it is an airline, though they are probably the 'safest' airline shares). To be clear, though, this is not financial advice, and I am a retard who recently bet on meme stock.

If you want not to pay tax you need to be in something that’s tax exempt like government bonds and certain funds. Different products have different tax rules, also different types of accounts have different tax rules (IRA, ROTH, 401k, etc) If you strategy is to avoid or minimize your tax burden you need to consult a tax professional. Not like some HR block nigger, an actual tax professional. They are expensive. It’s not worth it unless you are making deep into six figures or more IMO. I’m in low six figure hell and I do my own taxes cause historically my results have been that it’s somewhere between a wash and actually costing you more money paying a pro than what you save using them.

1. Theaters have been open across the entire country for months.

2. AMC was failing miserably and easily the least successful theater chain in the business. Their stock was worthless and they were going bankrupt long before covid. Even if theaters in general aren't going to die, AMC likely won't be one of the survivors.

3. The last Godzilla movie from a couple years ago bombed extremely fucking hard. It was comical how badly it performed. You should not expect Godzilla vs Kong to do any better or positively impact the stock price.


Realistically, the ONLY parachute left is to hope that Valentine's Day is a good bump in income for AMC and it raises the stock price for a little while.
