Is ALGO a good long term investment? You get 6% through staking and I love seeing the little rewards ticker go brrrr. I figure I’m not the only one and when Reddit Retards get into crypto next they will feel the same way

>> No.27606356

>>27600887
Honestly, I don't think Eth will be killed but just fizzle out eventually once everyone starts switching. There won't be *the* eth-killer though, some or all of these will be used for very specific usecases which they have an upper hand in compared to the others. For example, if raw tps is needed, avax will be used but for slower usecases which need a formal verification of the smartcontract to ensure security ada might prevail. It's like with programming languages, back in the day, everything had to be written in assembler code because nothing more convenient existed as is it the case today with Etherium. For modern applications however you might choose your language based on what you are trying to accomplish and what you are comfortable with. Same will be the case here

Probably Cardano, it has the momentum and a giant community behind it as well as the mindshare of the entire academic community and cryptographic community who are studying and extending upon Ouroboros... because Cardano embraced the peer-review-process from the beginning. Now they get all that research for free. Not to mention the funding mechaninsm built into the blockchain for DAPP development. They're all decent projects though.

Only ALGO or ADA have the team and capability to kill ETH

>> No.27610051

>>27609248
Cardano does not HAVE to scale on layer 2, it was a choice, and it was a brilliant choice. Scaling on a Native Ouroboros layer 2 solution that will be deployed by the existing stake pool set is a VERY good idea.
