Measuring an alt in sats is important because if BTC is rising and an alt increases in USD value but still is losing sat value, they would have been better off holding Bitcoin. The same thing is said by Gwei value. I measure most of the altcoins in Gwei because im trying to accumulate ETH

You should be measuring everything in purchasing power. Figure out what metrics your personal purchasing power scales with, make a simple formula and work around that. All depends on what you spend money on
