e-commerce and the overhauling of the physical stores. put as simply as possible, an all around better micro center with a gaming emphasis. Ex-Chewy team's focus on customer service is bullish as fuck. computer parts tam > dog food tam.

this next piece of information is pure optimism, nothing backing it up, but if they become a Steam competitor it's going parabolic again. i dont see why they wouldnt since theyre trying to get away from selling discs.

The stock market is a bubble caused by an influx of new investors with little experience that began when robinhood had first come out. That prompted all the retail brokers to slash their fees to zero and get gud at mobile applications. This was when jobs were still good. Then the economy goes to shit, people get gibs and scam unemployment to funnel cash into primarily US equities. Institutions degrossing across the board but market flows are still positive because retail is buying it. What we saw the past week or two wasn't the beginning of anything, just a symptom of an already extended market. The last time we had a real longwinded 50% contraction was 13 years ago. So I think by now given what we can actually observe happening behaviorally it's clear that there's a bubble but I have no idea where the top is. Feels like it should be close, but equities are a really big game
Also you get a better risk adjusted return holding 10% bitcoin 90% cash the past ten years than 100% equities. And better with 10% bitcoin 90% equities. The same is, or was true of gold and equity portfolios so I bet you start seeing this allocation in retail, professionally managed portfolios. Banks not so much because the volatility hurts their capitalization
Defi is the future of finance 100%
GME is squoze
Silver might actually be a good play but it's too high to buy it now personally, it is not squeezable though
Generally short squeezes are not actually easy to force and are kinda ephemeral

I'm smart but I'm not stock smart. PhD from Stanford in something STEM related. I lost my money like all the rest of them, buying into hype I lost 40k on GME after liquidating today.

Fuck. I think it's because I was too busy to keep up with what was going on and retards here and reddit kept telling me NEXT FRIDAY NEXT FRIDAY.

Oh well, net worth is still > 1.4mil. Was hoping for some disposable income so I could buy a c8 vette. Withdrew my balance and uninstalled RH

there is stupid money out there going to stupid places and that is the number one sign shit will go south
I have no idea whether to move to bonds in the 401k because the fed is in pure funny money mode and how much worse can it get? looks like 1.87% which means that's fucking limited too
I have no idea, I spread my shit across global and small business funds because I think that'll cover some of it.
also when the shit pops people are gonna pull out of their index funds and tank my shit anyways, so who fucking knows. only stable value option is a fucking insurance company.
want a new place but am terrified to purchase before the fed does something even more retarded with the interest rates. everything outside the 401k is in the house/cash.

I'm rolling the dice on this one and allocating to crypto now on a thesis about RaR staying as healthy as it's been but truth is there's no telling how it performs in an actual meltdown

I worry about bitcoin as something that is inflated by stupid money being able to HODL. I don't think a currency that encourages that shit does well when shit goes bad unless we get a societal collapse, which is possible but then I have bigger problems.
I also don't believe in bitcoin except the decentralized part, it's super illiquid and volatile. I don't go into shit I don't understand the value of.
the beta of gold is attractive but I think im holding cash and sweeping in on a property when shit goes bad to get the upside in a future recovery. my house is low enough we won't lose much and the upside on a new place will be higher. my wife however will be pissed we're stuck here longer, but I will pay it down more.
if I had the new place in the style of house I want it would have gold fucking bars under the floorboards, not gonna work here and I don't want paper

I'm thinking it's probably best to do a VC style allocation for these, basically buy everything in small proportion (1%, 2% positions) expecting most to lose and one or two to return multiples. Total crypto market cap is +30% ytd
Probably still wouldn't buy anything sub $100MM market cap
>>27570952
Bitcoin's beta is ~8 iirc but you got paid 900x more return for every dollar at risk in it than the stock market past ten years so that's where my comfort comes from. I do wonder if the whole thing is a fat bubble but really I feel like it's just an emergent asset class trying to saturate.
Bitcoin is a shit currency. You will see as many people use it as one in 10 years as you do today. Many reasons for this
Don't want to be anywhere near cash atm
I like RE, we've had easy money for so long and boomers did a good job of building mcmansions so density is low. This probably won't change

thanks for the advice. only holding cash for not working for however many fucking years it happens and some down payment if we get into higher value property.
I think I agree, you had a good point on RE. this administration is the one that started the bullshit interest and so it's likely just going to go lower if stuff fucks up, pushing present value on these houses even higher. also apparently they made foreclosures and evictions illegal so we crossed that fucking bridge
we're still looking for places, maybe we focus on that sooner while supply is constrained but the higher prices sit. looking for land though, but when shtf the plan is to use to supply myself in the food riots I expect. also because farmers have rewritten the tax code and fuck if I'm missing out. also no one knows how to fucking do that work and are retards who want to grow corn on small farms without economies of scale.
good luck anon

I’ll put in my 2 cents

First off thoughts on home builders (Mdc, nvr, dhi), as well as construction materials, cement, timber, machinery ($titn). WFH movement, low housing inventory atm and potential Biden infrastructure plan

Second I’m going to make at least 7 figures off of the yield farming tokens on defi. Use the market cap / tvl ratio as well as full tvl ratio to get easy picks

$badger and $farm among the top 5

Now when I make this money I’m inevitably going to leave the Defi space to put the money into monthly reits for at least 40-80k year in dividends

My only thing is will these corporate entities push back government with the moratoriums going on? A lot of the shopping centers around my area have more then one tenant vacant...

But they have deeper pockets then I have so they can wait it out for me I guess

Last I thin Defi has about 1-2 years at the most on ethereum before it collapses. Unsustainable as it is with less then 50b in Defi. Trillions of dollars almost a quadrillion plus is needed for the financial system to run through. 1k-20k+ tps minimum

ISO2022 and Fedwire
