Except all of this is running off Ethereum's network and is putting immense stress on the chain causing people to be blocked out of trading. Some reports of people spending hundreds of dollars on transactions.

Rubic aims to be a decentralized exchange that would use some of the new blockchain technology called layer 2; that would reduce strain on the network. And this would be a window of opportunity because Uniswap has no information about using the new tech. And Ethereum may be months or years away from introducing their solution, Ethereum 2.0.

There are some caveats, but right now Rubic is working on solving the transaction issue by Quarter 2.
