Silver Squeeze Facts:

- The price of silver is set at a commodity exchange market called the COMEX that use "future contracts" to trade derivatives of precious metals at a set price/date.
- The Comex exchange only fulfills 1 out of 300 contracts, The actual SUPPLY of PHYSICAL silver is a fraction of what is being represented on the market.
- Paper Silver to Physical Silver float ratio is being traded 186:1. The total market cap of PHYSICAL silver is much smaller than represented.
- Silver is the most heavily shorted precious metal in the commodities market, massive paper short contracts suppress true silver price exploration.
- Don't fight rigged/monopolized silver futures, purchase Physical or PSLV shares. The paper silver price is essentially meaningless.
- Upcoming Basel III reforms will require banks to store an amount of physical collateral to hedge their liabilities between June 2020- Jan 2023.
- Fiat Dollar to Ounce of Silver by float is currently $4795 an ounce.

Precious Metal Facts:

- Historical Median price of a home relative to gold is 100 ounces [during a depression] to 500 ounces [during a boom] of gold. Average median has been 300 ounces of gold or roughly 555k USD.
- The average Gold/Silver Price Ratio during the 20th century was 47:1, yet today is 70:1. For perspective, the Gold/Silver ratio was 10:1 in ancient times.
- There is an estimated 1,600,000 tonnes of silver and 171,300 tonnes of gold in circulation. This makes the "true" Physical Silver/Gold ratio 9.34.
- There are 32150.7 Troy ounces in a Ton. This means 51440 million ounces of silver have been extracted to date, this includes silver that was lost/processed due to various industrial demands.
- 51440M Silver ounces divided by 331M US citizens = 155 ounces available per US Citizen. Likewise globally 51440M/7800M people = 6.6 Ounces of silver available per human on earth.
- It costs miners $10.56 to mine and refine an ounce of silver, however existing silver mines are becoming increasingly exhausted by mid 2020s due to increasing demand.
- Silver has many applications in Medicine, Electronics, Solar panels, EV's, and Jewelry and more.

I saw this because I'm interested in home gym equipment, and I've been doing research for a buddy who wants some equipment.

Regardless, it seems as though steel processing is down and scarcity has increased. It's pretty much all due to the pandemic. As such, gym equipment is going to be going up in price soon.

>Related to steel?

Well, from learning through you guys, silver is usually mined as a by-product of other mining operations, and few dedicated silver mines exist. And when silver is mined, it is found fewer clumps and is more diffuse than gold (which tends to stick together).

So if the production of other metals and steel is down, then silver will also be more scarce as a result.

Is the price of Copper suppressed by derivatives trading the same way Gold and Silver is?

I know it would never make sense to purchase copper bullion but I have a ton of copper from scrapping that I have saved over the years. It's extremely neat and tidy and doesn't take up any real space. Am I better off holding it forever the same way I would with silver? Asteroid mining is such a meme. The only propulsion technology that can get us to the belt in a reasonable amount of time is an Orion, and good luck setting off hundreds of fusion bombs in the atmosphere. And then how do you land a thousand ton ship full of ore? Anything mined in the belt is going to stay in the belt, or on the Moon, unless someone wants to wipe a few Earth cities off the map by dropping rocks on them.

But for sure diversify with other things and don't just go all in metals.
Since your a zoomer you could consider looking into getting some jewelry so you can wear it like a nice gold chain or bracelet so that you can get some enjoyment out of it instead of collecting dust in a safe. Silver jewelry is cool too but it's not worth much and it will cost way more then spot

You need a space elevator to mine asteroids. The Paul Birch orbital ring space elevator would cost, at minimum, $500b, and probably significantly more. Then add in the cost of mining equipment, technology, astronauts trained in mining, etc. To make this a reality, a superpower country’s government would have to lead the project, as the private sector would not be able to accomplish this. Do you see any developed country taking steps toward investing and building a space elevator? The answer to this question will answer any further questions about the feasibility of asteroid mining in the near term.

>But once you experience it firsthand, suddenly it clicks like a thousand years of blood memories rushing back

This is why PMs are such a solid play right now. Cryptos are new and unnatural, whereas even 4 year olds in some computerless 3rd world backwater have absorbed enough language and culture to know that gold and silver are special. My silver HODLing long-game anticipates that blood and cultural memory to come welling up in public consciousness once again when fiat dies on top of the bullish future industrial demand considerations. Crypto will never have that kind of instinctive appeal, low barrier to entry or timeless longevity.

lead is a good metal to buy
on paper lead is $1lb retail it's $3
best way to acquire lead is in the scrap market direct from collectors at $0.6lb it can then be melted into ingots and held or sold as lead alloy.
highest valued lead alloy is any lead/tin.

Bought 90% silver in assorted denominations to the tune of 20 troy oz Actual Silver Weight.

Also got 2.7 oz of 99.9% today.

Also got minimal premiums over spot. I feel smug but nervous - half-expecting the other shoe to drop.

4CHAN AND PLEBBIT MEMED A COUP IN MYANMAR!

JPM just pulled a coup in burma to replenish COOOMEX STOCK to satisfy all the plebbit trash that raided bullion dealers over just one weekend. THIS RAID IS GOING TO CONTINUE AS LONG AS THEY KEEP SELLING IT AT LOW LOW UNDERVALUED PRICES! THEY ARE CALLING IT A CHINA COUP BECAUSE WITHOUT LOW COST SILVER CHINA IS REKT! GLOBOHOMO & CHINA ARE IN ON IT TOGETHER!

CITADEL AND JPM OWN TOILET PAPER MASQUERADING AS SILVER SECURITIES! Burma has one of the largest stocks of mined silver bullion...surprise surprise. ITS HABBENING!!!!

>tfw JPM ran a coup on myanmar because of reddit + 4chan fags
JPM hedgies own counterfeit silver certificates and now they have to over throw countries to try and find stashes of it around the world!!!!

PIC RELATED

Every major tech manufacturer that uses silver medical defense aerospace and IT will want to buy physical and stock it in their warehouse to LOCK IN manufacturing prices. just like how you hoard bottle water, toilet paper and bleach because muh COVID!

Except if you run out of toilet paper nothing bad happens...if you run out metal ...its a RUN ON THE BANKS! JPM AND COOMEX ARE REKT ONCE THE ORDERS START TO PILE UP AND THERE IS NO PHYSICAL TO DELIVER!!!

hence the coup in myanmar! THIS IS THE END TIMES FOR BIG SILVER BANKSTERS! COOMEX IS REKT!!

okay /pmg/ lay it on me
I fucked myself and payed a retarded premium cause I got caught up in the hype of this weekend. I'm relatively new to stacking and I'm wondering what the ideal premium is. Is there a certain percentage of the spot that i should look for? Some anons have said never pay more than 2.50 over spot for silver while some say anything under 4.50-5.00 is acceptable. I know this also depends on what type of round/bar/coin you're buying.
