A trader with a popular stock youtube channel actually was talking about NOK over a month ago. In this video he lays out the fundamentals and even says that he's looking to extend his position to be his biggest investment.

I think NOK was in a group of stocks that had been heavily shorted albeit not as far as gamestop was. it was used to divert attention away from GME when the FOMO raid was looming.. It basically splintered the incoming attack.
So its spiked last week.
Today it dropped back to a more normal again because the memes left, and im sure some hedgies were taking some losses like they did on GME late yesterday. They stopped trading on NOK with apps for a time this morning. Now its open again.
So now this stock isnt about the short, as much as earnings on the 4th coming out. Ericcsson's report was Way above expectations and Nokia has 5G alternatives to Chinese Huawei as well so the future looks solid and practically zero downside.

The main threats Nokia's face are: They delayed to back 5g compared to their competitors. Lost them a few points on market share + contracts.

However this December it was announced they will be the FIRST to work on developing 6G.

So moving forward Nokia will strive to be the best in class. With first to market on 6G potentially making the stock go parabolic by 2030.
