I don't think DeFi coins are a good mid term investment, at least until we see ETH2.0 or layer-2 solutions on ETH1.0, this shit is barely usable now and it's going to get worse and worse.
I'd bet on concurrent network (ADA, DOT, AVAX etc.)
Also, get some BTC

It's good a little tiny bit of patience and it will be validated. AAVE is on a bump at the moment. LINK is a blue chip at this point and it's going to lstaircase up but get good returns. SNX value lock rising daily. ETH transactions are increasing at a breakneck pace. If you have to stop looking at your pf and come back only occasionally.

You're dead wrong about this. The inflows into DeFi has never been stronger. Maker just broke $5B in value locked today. We'll probably see over $100B inflow by the end of 2021 from the current $28B in DeFi. By eoy 2022 likely to reach half a trillion in Crypto currencies earning high yielding interest and being used for trades and swaps including a strong market for synthetic derivatives.

I get it. I just think technical limitations will soon cause a re-balancing. There's already a self-regulating closed-loop on the number of transactions on Ethereum. The higher the gas fees, the less people transact, which lower the gas fee. But it's an unstable equilibrium, if anything wrong happens (like a strong and reliable concurrent network releasing a working version of smart contracts) the ball will fall on the wrong side, and that'll be the beginning of the end for DeFi platforms which doesn't want to migrate. We'll see.
