Say I buy 2 coins at 50 cents apiece. I spent a dollar. Coin moons, now my $1 investment is worth $2. Do I convert the full amount ($2) or just the profit ($1)? I'd be buying back into the original coin. Don't want to be a retard.

This works. but requires a dip. So you gotta be able to predict the jumps and the dips effectively.

Other possible scenarios is that you sell your coins for 2/ea and while you wait for it to get back down to .50, it jumps back up to 2 or even higher.

Another scenario is you sell, buy back in at .50 and then it drops even further.

Any combination of selling/ holding portions of your bag is just safety precautions.

50% is admiral goals for trading in larger coins, do some reading into indicators if you're going to swing.

If you're moving from pump to pump from WSB, make sure to hodl on as they're coins that are >activated

I'm more of a long-hodl person but my early crypto career was swing hard.

In my experience, the rule is lower market activity, more opportunity for swinging.

If you target BTC, ETH, EXP, it will be hard to get 50% unless it's getting pumped & held
