I predict BAT going to ~$10 this year. Do with that what you will.

Prediction based off of:
>SDK
>self-service ads
>LINK's pump to $15+ last year
>Brave/BAT popularity mounting
>general sentiment towards crypto improving

~$10 isn't too crazy

BAT is going through a massive accumulation cycle right now. VC's appraised twitter at like $900m at 16m users and snapchat at like $1.8B at 18m. If you watch the orderbook long enough you can see retail growing tired and selling their small chunks just for it to get snapped up in 10-20k BAT orders. Fair market value would put BAT closer to like $2.4B and the gap is just getting wider. The top 100 etherscan wallets are also growing. Its amazing watching retail get squeezed out and they don't even know it.

BAT will pump higher and higher. Brave is actually a great product, and the token has real-world utility in the sense that everything's trending toward decentralization and federation, but adkikes will always want a way to shill shit. The rewards program and wallet integration still need more work, but the browser has been steadily catching on and the project itself will explode at some point. Could be a year, could be 5 years, but BAT will have its day.

If Brave integrated a MetaMask-like tool, or could connect to more exchanges than Binance, that alone would pump BAT hard.

EOY im forecasting close to 60m over/under about 5-6m. Will have a better idea the next few updates to see if it holds the trend. A viral moment could put it well above. I think it should be worth about $7-8 by year end and hopefully continue to grow for the next 5. >>27458076
Not all users are worth the same, but Brave has higher ARPU's and total addressable market than most apps or website. An adblocking user is hard to reach, and where brave stands out is that people spend about 5 hours on a browser each day compared to about 10 minutes for twitter and 30 for facebook. Brave is also less friction to land on the ad. A twitter ad disrupts your session, and a brave ad can be between search queries. It appears brave is working on addition ad types like in the brave today feed, and possibly in the "youtube killer" and publisher ads. Overall I think a brave user could be on the upper bounds when it comes to how valuable they are. Much more so than teeny boppers and antifa scum on snapchat and twitter.

kek, people are already opting into brave rewards and its not even fully built out yet. Its going to be a slow nag for people until the break or get fomo. Some will earn through ads, others will use it for the giving economy, some will use it for defi or gaming, some will use it for shopping, and some will use it for investing. Theres lots of motivations, and these people don't realize the supply is fixed and its going to get spread thin over the next 3 years. At 350m users, most people wont even have 2-3 BAT.

I think BAT will have a huge increase in price out of nowhere. It may not be soon, but it will happen. At some point Brave will be too big to ignore. >> No.27467753

>>27466403
I think the bot question is a valid concern. If bots can run free then the whole coin has no value because advertisers' campaigns can't be profitable if they're spending a huge amount of money on ads that are served to bots.

Brave has bot detection, if they didn't, the whole coin would be worthless because advertisers wouldn't make a return on investment. The data from companies that run have run ads on Brave have already shown that their campaigns on Brave are more profitable than traditional ads (https://brave.com/brave-ads/casestudies/)), wouldn't be possible if there was a huge bot problem because bots obviously don't make purchases. Clearly, the anti-bot detection works pretty well.

>>27460398
This is retarded though, there's a fixed supply, they can't just print more BAT.

>> No.27468144

>>27467753
yeah, looked up the BAT supply.

I'm sure they're taking steps against botting, but there have been multiple dumps in the past the doubt I have is over sudden jumps in price, and whether or not there are whales. I just don't see BAT as a long option, because large jumps in value would reduce it's practicality as internet pocket change for tipping.

>> No.27469454

>>27468144
Of course there have been dumps, that's the case with every coin. Doesn't mean that there are huge botting farms in India that farm the token en masse. It's likely either whales, algorithms, or people that swing trade since BAT has a tendency to swing in the same price range pretty consistently and they can make a decent amount of money swing trading it. That probably stops when the token breaks out. All it needs is a catalyst - right now there's really no need for anyone to buy the token because you can't do much with it beside tipping and nobody is realistically going to buy a huge amount of BAT just for that purpose. It will break out of its price range once self-serve advertisements become available since then there's actual demand for the token because advertisers need them to run their ads. Digital advertising is a huge business and if Brave keeps and capture even a fraction of that market it will create a huge demand for the token. If they really become one of the biggest browsers then there's huge upside potential IMO.

If you don't see BAT as a long option then that's fine with me.

>because large jumps in value would reduce it's practicality as internet pocket change for tipping.

Why? You can just tip fractional BAT. Do you mean that people are more likely to hold onto it rather than donate it to others if there's a huge price increase? Keep in mind that the amount of BAT you receive will go down as the price increases. People will receive very small $ amounts of BAT and I don't think they'd have a problem parting with it to support their favorite websites, or other content creators, especially since most people won't want to go through the KYC process to redeem small BAT amounts

On the whole, for me the main use case for the BAT token is not even as a tipping token, that's just one function of it. I think it will go up because you need it to run ads. If you could run ads without needing to use BAT then I wouldn't believe in BAT either.
