Kraken announced the will be running their own Chainlink node: https://cryptobriefing.com/kraken-chainlink-node-defi-markets/

It's only a matter of time until they offer staking services to rival Linkpool. Can someone please explain why Linkpool deserves the 1 LP/5000 Link valuation it currently has? Makes no sense with public staking services on the horizon.

well, linkpool already has a massive head start on them so there's that
you might be right about linkpool being overvalued though.

You're right, LP definitely has a head start. But with staking always "coming soon TM" there's plenty of time for them to build what they need to have it ready when staking launches. And Kraken prepared ETH 2.0 staking services super fast, and they are already the biggest staking provider, I can't imagine things will be much different than for Link. Personally I would rather own 200 link than 0.04 LP right now,

i bought an equivalent ratio of LP to my LINK but it might have been a bad move. the passive linkies are nice i guess but even with the boost in chainlink activity its only like 3% APR or something.

I agree. Why would I own 0.04 LP that produces around 6 Link/year (thats at the level of the recently super high distribution rewards) when I can just own 200 Link instead? Seems like a no brainer, I'm not waiting 30 years to build up the same Link stack

Why make this thread. Is kraken sharing revenue of their other services. Sage and sell.
