SLV is a fucking scam. It's the tether of modern finance.

Imagine I made an ERC-20 called silver token, and I claim this is an ERC-20 based on the price of silver. I then begin minting more tokens to keep the price at the proper point (without backing them with real silver) using fractional economics. Eventually, there are hundreds of times more of my token out there than physical silver. But, the market cap of silver, which is supposed to be reflected in my token, is instead counted with it. All of my valueless ERC-20 tokens are counted towards the total marketcap of physical silver, and since people can get into the price action of silver with less premiums, the physical silver actually begins following my ERC-20.

Now imagine people are actually starting to physical silver, the price of it is going to rise. But, since my ERC-20 market is already flooded, people who never owned physical silver in their life are able to dump on the physical silver price. What happens? Premiums shoot up to cover the disparity between physical silver, which is still subject to the laws of supply and demand, while my shitcoins trade at lower and lower % of the spot+premium price.

Eventually, the price of physical silver will become so high that people will begin to question why my ERC-20 is worth so much less. They will want to call delivery on this silver which they believe they own, only to find out they never held any to begin with. The marketcap of physical silver catches up to the marketcap of physical silver + ERC-20 silver, and boom, your physical silver is now worth 230x what it was originally.

Only difference in this analogy? ERC-20's are real whereas SLV is fiat, and you can't call delivery on ERC-20's

If we can take down SLV, they will revalue Gold accordingly and the modern fiat banking system is literally ruined

Pro Silver points:

>"The silver market is even more heavily leveraged with paper, meaning even further divorced from the real world. Veteran precious metals commentator, Steve St. Angelo has estimated the paper ratio in the silver futures market at 233:1."

https://dynamicwealthresearch.com/news/physical-silver-decoupling-from-paper-market#:~:text=The%20silver%20market%20is%20even,futures%20market%20at%20233%3A1.

The silver futures market is overtrading trading paper silver to physical silver 130-500 times over varying by sources. This means that the actual supply of physical silver is a fraction of what is being represented on the indices. To add to this, paper traded silver is inflating the total market cap of actual silver in existence and a portion of the silver included in this market cap is being processed to manufacture actual products that require it. The total market cap of PHYSICAL silver is much smaller than reported.

The price is set at a derivatives market called the COMEX where the banks are over leveraged 150 to 1. We're going to cause a default there by buying physical so that the paper price becomes meaningless.

>Commodities historically undervalued relative to dollars

>Silver used in electronics and EV batteries

A movement to purchase and safekeep silver would bring the price up back to its actual value and more. If everybody in the US bought a 10 ounce coin, you would see a global shift in attitudes towards silver and against relying solely on paper fiat and cryptos as a wealth preserver.
I'd advocate for physical silver purchases, paper trading might win you some battles but physical purchases will win the war.

Cryptocurrency market cap is around 1 trillion+ dollars.

Silver's market Cap is around 1.4 trillion dollars, and has much more utility to support manufacturing and wealth preservation.

for every 1% that a crypto holder diverts their savings into PHYSICAL silver, Silver would go up 0.7% alone.

Even if Citadel is shilling silver because they hold the 5th most paper silver it’s a dangerous game they are playing. They are under the assumption that they can sell their paper silver and everyone will buy it and not try to get the physical asset. Once there is wide-spread realization that there isn’t enough silver to match paper silver their holdings mean nothing and physical silver will skyrocket. It’s a dangerous game they are attempting but I guess they are not holding back and will try to cover their GME loses using silver.

Honestly, what's the worst thing that can happen? This isn't GME or some fagcoin. This is a real, tangible investment that has maintained value since the dawn of man. Right now the world economy is tied up in a quarantine. I'm not sure about other countries, but the US is printing fiat currency out to pay stimulus checks to everyone (including illegal fucking immigrants). Although we have a vaccine now, I don't see things returning to normal anytime soon. I wonder how many rounds of stimulus checks will be printed this year? When the US government prints out more and more money, the consequence is inflation. That means the purchasing power of USD decreases. China has a strategic interest in replacing USD with a Chinese cryptocurrency as the petrodollar (and thus the world currency). Do you think China Joe is going to stand in China's way? Instead, he will try to print out even more "money" in the form of $10k student loan forgiveness on top of continuous stimulus checks. The future of the USD as a world currency is bleak. Once countries lose complete faith in USD, things are going to get real shitty. This is why you should own physical silver. It works as a hedge against the massive amount of inflation the USD will experience soon. That is just one of many reasons why you should hold at least SOME physical silver. I'd consider buying the next dip you see.

When the economy crashes, silver goes down, people need to pay bills. Then there is a delayed temporary increase once people have money again. In 2008, silver dropped heavily, and only mooned in 2010 once the recession finished. In 2020 the same thing happened, but it was much sooner because of the stimulus. We will see higher prices so long as the stimulus is there, but once it is gone and the economy goes to shit again, people will sell.

Theres 15kg of silver in a tomahawk missile.
Industrial use requires greater than the amount mined every year.
It hedges some of your assets against BTC crash.

Also it might be funny. I bought 600oz in the last week and I intend to move 10% of my portfolio into silver over the next 6mo. Short term, it might be great. If its not, I can wait 10y.

No, actually, I don't.

All I ever did was buy some cryptos, and not that much either.

I am a poorfag, I finally got a job last year so I now have some meager money to invest, up until that I was barely scrapping by so I had no possibility of ever investing anything on anything.

So yeah, I am new and trying to learn, is it too late for me to invest on this? If so I will just go look elsewhere, could take suggestions if you have any.

lol, no. copper mines will be busy forever filling the real copper demand for electric vehicles. in the process they wind up with a bunch of silver nobody seems to need and they just dump it on the market. silver has underperformed other assets for a reason.

Yes you invested into first majestic miners. SLV is the demon that manipulates the price. Silver is severly undervalued because of them. Once the SLV price is exposed, silver’s value would be closer to gold. Thats why anons are pushing for physical silver to constrain the supply. COMEX needs to be investigated for naked shorts by the SEC. If the SEC does not investigate this manipulation then fuck it do exactly the opposite of what the SEC wants and go into bitcoin. These bastards are not looking at the interest for the american public.
