Pro Silver points:

>"The silver market is even more heavily leveraged with paper, meaning even further divorced from the real world. Veteran precious metals commentator, Steve St. Angelo has estimated the paper ratio in the silver futures market at 233:1."

https://dynamicwealthresearch.com/news/physical-silver-decoupling-from-paper-market#:~:text=The%20silver%20market%20is%20even,futures%20market%20at%20233%3A1.

Once the whole "meme stock" fiasco sobers up, commodity assets like Silver will look very promising.

>Commodities historically undervalued relative to dollars

>Silver used in electronics and EV batteries

>Silver:Gold price ratio historically pegged to 40, making Silver worth about $46.

A movement to purchase and safekeep silver would bring the price up back to its actual value and more. If everybody in the US bought a 10 ounce coin, you would see a global shift in attitudes towards silver and against relying solely on paper fiat and cryptos as a wealth preserver.

Cryptocurrency market cap is around 1 trillion+ dollars.

Silver's market Cap is around 1.4 trillion dollars, and has much more utility to support manufacturing and wealth preservation.

for every 1% that a crypto holder diverts their savings into PHYSICAL silver, Silver would go up 0.7% alone.

====

Arguments against crypto

1) Cryptos are extremely overvalued.
2) There are a dozen new PnD tokens every day.
3) Cryptos can be regulated a lot easier than people think.
4) Crypto has no base utility outside of money laundering and income obfuscation.
5) Downside risk of crypto is much higher than Silver
6) Macroeconomic forces support a silver uptrend.
7) Commodities are more liquid and trusted by the masses.

A $2 jump overnight in Silver is fucking massive and if you don't recognize that then you're clearly new here. The "squeeze" was always a fucking meme, silver doesn't need a GME-esque short squeeze to moon. It's not gonna 100x like GME. This is a longer game, and if you want more potential upside, be prepared for more risk, like call options on mining stocks.

The GME meme is more like 'we have to pool every available bit of resources to bleed the hedge funds' and less about trying to make shitloads of money, everyone knows GameStop has no fundementals. Silver I think normies are approaching not from the usual redpills of 'ancient store of value' and such, but finding out that the market manipulation on it is massive and that's what has people screaming for blood now. I can see that they don't want to take their limited power away from the GME raid, but it is inevitable that many of these people have been awoken to silver and will move on to it eventually to secure gains and ride the comex collapse.

Personally I'd advocate for physical silver purchases, paper trading might win you some battles but physical purchases will win the war.

All paper trades are tied to the actual price of physical silver, and right now all miners are overvalued relative to the spot price.

Buy physical silver -> paper silver goes up -> silver derivative scam starts showing cracks -> Silver becomes 100USD+ an ounce or more. [ Ideally 150 times more if the derivative scam unfolds but lets stay rational here ]

Apart from holding physical in your own hand, PSLV is about as trustworthy as you can get. For people who won't buy physical it's the best contribution which they can make to draining the COMEX. It's transparent, audited, allocated, with a universal delivery mechanism, and the people running it are highly trustworthy banker-hating Austrian-economics-loving silver bulls. SLV is simply a worthless paper scam which allows the bankers to dump infinite shares on your head. Nobody can take delivery there except the same big banks who are predatorily shorting silver, and the custodian is the convicted-criminal metals-manipulator JP Morgan.

The shortages on the physical markets won't just disaapear over night. Regardless of where the paper price goes tomorrow the demand for physical is huge now. I think it's higher than 2009-2011, definitely the decoupling that we are seeing between the physical and the paper is longer and larger.
If the paper market had anything to do with the supply-demand at all I would say that the silver is going up. But then it doesn't so I don't know.

Stopped buying because premiums are ridiculous right now. Also, if its true newcomers they WILL get shaken out of all paper holds (silver ETFs or miners) when the banks slam it back down to the 25-26 dollar range in 3 glorious red candles
The slam down in July was 29 to almost 22. The point is that the slam downs drag it down less and less every time because there when the spot by a bunch, everyone starts buying.
People who got their hands on physical will likely not sell and be rewarded for it. SIMPLE AS

Half and half.

A significant percentage of the new stackers over the last week are here for the wrong reason. They got duped into thinking short-squeezing $SLV would take the price of silver to 1000/oz in a short amount of time. They literally had no idea what they were buying, why, where to buy it, where to sell it, what are premiums and what the correlation between buying Silver and hurting the banks was. They simply thought that they'd be able to fight against the most powerful banks on the planet with a few thousand "investors" tossing $100 onto the most manipulated commodity in the world. Then they were asking when were they supposed to cash out for their gainz.

On the other hand maybe some of them got redpilled on the truth behind the banking system and the job of precious metals during the upcoming and inevitable crisis.

When PSLV rebalances to meet the new NAV, they are buying silver and transferring it to their vaults either from dealers or some of these very same banks. This drains either the reserves the shorts draw from or creates more longs. It is the same as you physically buying it.
When SLV rebalances to match their NAV, they just print labels and put it on silver that already has 100+ labels on it.

At the beginning of 2020 only the dealers were angry because of what happened with the spor (sub $14) and the shortages, now the people will at first blame the dealers(already are) for the premiums but I hope some anons from here can explain that the dealers aren't doing premiums to make the extra money here. They are trying to cool the demand with that, because they are scared of the shortages more than the general public is.
I'm a dealer, not of pure but a dealer nonetheless and the shortages of silver are driving me nuts. When there is no silver I make no money basically. So I don't really care about the price as ling as I have silver to sell. The vast majority of dealers are in the same boat.
When that's explained it's going to be easier for the people to understand who is behind the stupid price moves on the market and who truly profits from it.

Yes I think that is the best move, slow and steady seems to be the deal right now, but based on anecdotal evidence the run to purchase physical is happening much faster than anticipated. Don't blow your entire net on silver, but maintain a 5-10% portfolio of PM's and purchase more when you think premiums cool down a bit.

One small correction which I might make is that SLV is more a sideshow or a diversion than the main method of manipulation. They do print worthless shares there to attack the price of silver, but it's like Bitcoin essentially: it's designed to take people's capital and attention away from the silver bullet (physical). The billions of ounces in paper dumping is done on the COMEX. SLV and the COMEX are two different things.

>>27398308

I know that people have taken delivery on PSLV as a matter of fact, I've heard it from Rick Rule and Sprott themselves. But it doesn't matter if people don't take delivery on PSLV, we don't need them to do so. The point is that PLSV will take delivery from the COMEX in response to share-buying. The delivery-mechanism (along with regular audits) is simply proof that PSLV is accountable. SLV is not accountable.

It is a bit more complicated than that. Gold and silver are the only commodities on the planet where the derivative (future) determine the value of the underlying (spot). You are unlikely to find near spot (really "near future") price of anything aside from junk silver.
What seems clear is that the COMEX had to expand their affiliated dealers back in April of last year because when silver dipped to $9, there was a RUSH of institutions that started buying.
There are a few gold/silver youtubers that have basically laid out a case that there are institutions that are basically using the COMEX for "spot". Opening up contracts on the very last day before a new contract month and requesting delivery. Most of the slamdowns have been 1-2 days before that.
This is why the slamdowns seem to have less impact every time. But they are still going to make your head spin.
