Another top post warned traders that buying the SLV fund would be 'directly putting money into the pockets of the EXACT HEDGE FUNDS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF $GME.

Silver is a great buy for a number of reasons. Covid, QE, small businesses fucked, inflation, stim checks, executive orders fucking the energy sector, solar panels are bullish, societal breakdown (election fraud), war with Iran under Biden etc etc.

But people need to learn one thing. Banks hold long positions on silver for this reason: when a mine opens up it takes a short position on silver. What's that, why would a mine SHORT its own product? Because if the price of silver plummets the mine will go bankrupt if it doesn't have some other way to make that money. Shorting silver gives the mine a way to hedge the silver price just in case it tanks and they have all kinds of machinery and shit tied up in the mine that costs a fortune. They also short the other metals that the mine produces.

Now, for every short there MUST be a long side of the same trade. Who takes the long side? The fucking banks. The banks are not bullish on silver or anything else, they are simply providing access to the financial instrument the mines need in order to operate with financial security. The banks are providing liquidity and banking services. It has nothing to do with banks being "LONG" or "SHORT" or anything else. They are just acting as fucking banks.
