you can lock away your FTM and mint fUSD (supposed to be a $1 stablecoin, it isn't right now because C-ratio liquidation isn't on yet). Let's suppose FTM is crabbing. You know that a coin that's on fTrade (still in development) will moon. So you mint fUSD up to 500%C-ratio for a 0.5% fee that is easily compensated by the 6% APY from holding that 500%. Those fUSD are now your fixed debt in USD that you have to repay in order to unlock your FTM. You then buy a synthetic coin on fTrade that you think will moon without gas cost (fETH, fBTC for example, prices are determined by Oracle). If ETH goes up 1.5x you sell them for 1.5x the fUSD, now actually owning 0.5x of those minted fUSD while still having your fanties locked up in staking.
