The inflation aspect actually is useful. Obviously the name DOGE in and of itself will turn most people off but there is a small percentage of people who lose wallets, passwords, or die each year. Dogecoin can't be hoarded by whales the same way that BTC can as there will always be new supply to provide liquidity, but the new supply is a fixed amount therefore the rate is a decreasing one (but still above zero).

Dogecoin is going to displace Litecoin in market cap soon which implies a stable price of around 6 cents near term. Litecoin is an old and tired coin owned mostly by boomers so it can't attract the market enthusiasm that Dogecoin has.
