27235598 No.27235598 [Reply] [Original]

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2021/01/30/exclusive-capital-gains-tax-rise-considered-chancellor/

>Rishi Sunak is once again considering an increase in capital gains tax to bring it into line with the higher levels of income tax rates, in a blow to savers and entrepreneurs.

>Capital gains tax is paid on shares and company assets from 20 per cent to as much as 45 per cent. He is also looking at taking corporation tax from 19 to as much as 24 per cent.

>The 2019 Conservative Party manifesto committed to no increases in VAT, inheritance tax and National Insurance but left the way open for rises in capital gains tax and corporation tax. Income tax increases in bands, from 20 per cent to 40 per cent, and 45 per cent for the highest earners.

Every other anglosphere country is better. UK is too small for when SHTF. We can't grow nearly enough food for everyone as it is and if SHTF then production will obviously fall. At least other countries like the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand can all produce enough food to be self-sustaining. The UK relies on the financial sector to feed itself. What do you think happens when that goes tits up? We live in a state of total inflation. You aren't going to get rich anymore unless you really nail it. Lots of panic over rumours here. It is unlikely that it will rise as high as income tax. For one it would not help sell the UK as a centre of international business, in addition the Tories always do stuff like this. They leak bad news and then in practice do something not anywhere near as bad. It's expectation management. I suspect we will slight increases to corporation tax (already much lower than most countries) and a 5-10% increase in CGT.

Really a 1-2% increase in capital gains tax would raise far more cash than increasing CGT.

This 2014 documentary, narrated by the economist Dominic Frisby, predicted Britain's future. Had millions of views before Youtube censored it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=og4YhOc2f2w

Got a lot of traction at the time, then the mainstream press started complaining about it as "fearmongering," and Youtube wiped out every trace of its existence except a few mirrors here or there.

The U. K. is in an even worse financial situation than America is. A colossal trade deficit. Even less manufacturing, and even more greatly in debt. We fund our enormous welfare state by printing money and selling bonds--that's it. We have almost no real economy to speak of. And as for savings, only 300 tons of gold to account for a population of 66 million and a colossal money supply. Cf. with e. g. Sweden, which is infinitely more fiscally responsible (only 40% debt to gdp) and which has 120 tons of gold for a population of 10 million. The future of the U. K. is an extremely miserable and depressing one. The wealth of an Empire has been squandered away in only a few generations. We don't even feed ourselves now.

If you are British and aren't exchanging your pounds for gold and silver right now you are either ignorant or insane.

Id recommend getting small denominations though like 10g or 50g, selling a whole kg is p fucking hard. If you can as well buy irl from local gold shop, build good relationship and you can sell there later on, if you're hella cool with the gold dealer can always ask them to write it up as a family heirloom you're selling. I think if ur buying over 1k in gold and u live in UK they have to ask you for address.

also if you make a bank account with bank of india and a few other arab accounts you can gain interest on gold. Id check up on that and see could be wrong, I never did but some freinds did, its always an option

if ur tryna deposit any of it and you want it done fast, just go to casino, buy chips, play a game or two, take chips to counter and cash out money nd deposit, Its p tedious but look on the bright side anon, you could gain a few pounds and maybe make a few frens

This government is a complete fucking failure of massive proportions. Between Brexit, between coronavirus, between the absolute fuck ton of money they've been bleeding out, this has to ruin them like Blair ruined the reputation of Labour and left-leaning politics.
I cannot see the conservatives getting voted back in unless the people that live in the UK are just as fucking stupid as them. They have fucked up at every corner and has managed to only get away in small areas to please both sides.
They can't even play to their voterbase right.

Meanwhile, there are tory leaders who were on the Paradise Papers, and are known to avoid taxes. They will not pay a fucking thing. The Queen's estates and those who are at the top will try and pay as little tax as possible. Thanks to Brexit, whether it was a factor in them wanting to do it or not, they're under less pressure to stop doing it.

I'm aware that you don't pay taxes on gambling winnings in the UK. so let's say I did make it. I could put my money in an online casino, put it on a roulette table. with some money on every number (1 to 36 & 0) so I 'win' no matter what, I am aware would lose a 37th of my money but that's still lower that CGT. I would then transfer it back to my bank account and it would appear to be from an online bookies.

The issue is that you have to pay CGT as soon as you 'realise' the money, so gaining it and transferring it to an online casino is what would fuck me over.

best starting point is profitacc, oddsmonkey etc, clear all the bookmaker offers (also the casinos one). This is easily 2k-3k

then in parallel start doing the reload and weekly offers, with 1hour a day you should be able to have a 500-600 gbp EV per month.

So in your first year assuming all bookies available you can easily make 5-10k

then there's more advanced stuff, this is where people make serious money. football 2up, NBA/NFL 14up, horse racing extra places offers etc. This requires more dedication and probably know what you are doing, trading on the exchange etc, you dont only profit from the bookie but from disparities on the exchange etc but if you want to go beyond 1k a month is an absolute must, I do occasionally when I see good opties

I think you can potentially make a minimum of 10k before being gubbed everywhere, to a maximum of 100k if you do the advanced stuff. Then after that you will have to start using other people accounts etc.

He puts himself as a man of the people when he's anything but that. What he's trying to be is a man for what he believes is HIS people, but he's awful at being that. Apply that for all the major political tory leaders.
And you're still going to vote in people who'll fuck you over on taxes. Amazing. The right wing of the UK is full of these clowns.
