Paper and physical prices are decoupling, I agree with this, but the reason why the demand for the silver went so high at that time is because of the price drop. Demand was already there because silver was getting hyped on youtube channels at the time and when the drop happened every shop in town was totally cleaned out for a week, because 13 dollar silver is stupid low.
What excites me is that this time around is that smaller unit supply is getting stretched this thin and the price is near triple what it was the last time this happened.
