Someone please explain what this means. are they shorting 5 bitcoins, or is this more than that? It seems like a bad idea to short btc with leverage.

they are short ~40,000 BTC? Seems like a brave position to take. what is the interest rate? is there a way to calculate it?

15 People are shorting btc. That means we have minimum 15 buy-in points.

> 40000 / 15 = 2663

The average shortie would be shorting approximately 2500 btc at a time. I would assume there are like 2 or 3 big players, and 12 smaller players. The big players are probably short ~80% of the total. Knowing this, we would want to search the blockchain for transactions that have round numbers. 1000btc, 2000btc. 5000btc, 10000btc, etc.

Im still curious about that interest rate.
