We're much closer to the collapse of physical currency, currency going digital was predicted to be inevitable since the discovery of internet. Since blockchain is so secure, and you can trace a persons txns from the beginning to the end, money going crypto is now inevitable. What's next? An economy crash, of which devastating effects will be absolutely avoided by most because people will transfer all their wealth to crypto and DeFi will suck billions out of a legitimate physical economy.
