I bought AMC fully aware that there was going to be no short squeeze because it's nowhere near as shorted as GME was. In fact, it's nowhere near as shorted as reddit even says. Short # of float was something like 15%. I bought it hoping that the speculative hype around it would be enough to send it to the moon. I should have sold at $15.70 because after that it kept fucking falling.

The trouble with AMC though is that if it doesn't "moon" then your initial investment is pretty much unrecoverable because its stock was never worth as much as it is now to begin with. So no matter how long you hold for you will never recover if you bought it at $11 or $13.

NOK is also a meme. I bought it for the same reason as AMC, thinking the hype would make it blow up. But NOK is a similar situation to AMC. Even if it does "well" in the long run, never in its recent history has the stock price exceeded $7.
