"investing" LOL
Let me tell you how it went for anyone who "made it" on this board

> be autistic or degenerate drug dealer
> Get in bitcoin early
> Hold it because you're in it for the tech or forget about it
> Bullrun happens, sell, and by accident make a lot of money

In crypto, you can literally wait for a 40% drop; it happens every 3-6 months or so, and then throw in large sums of cash into the market. Wait a month or two and get at least +20% on your investment. If you have a lot of starting capital, like from the situation above, that 20% can be a lot of money.
No rhyme or reason, all TA morons are just that, fucking morons, and idc that you failed out of comp sci at community college but still have a low-level IT job because you have autistic connections; everyone here who made money investing just some degenerate sack of shit. No, so far I've turned $100 into $1000 over the last couple of months. You won't get rich quick but no one except idiots are saying you will. Here's how to do it:
Watch for dipps and buy in
Wait until it raises 10% and pull out
Wait for another dip and do the same
It'll take a while but eventually you will be up to $200, and now that 10% raise each time is actually 20% of your original investment. Eventually that gets up to $1000 and you are now profiting 100% of your original $100 every time you do this.

My method

-Find reputable coin (good team/partners/record/tech) with big upcoming project in thier roadmap e.g eth2.0, cardano goguen and then buy a few months before hand. Looking to get rich in a day or a week is basically gambling. You need to research and wait that is the true diamond hands, not buying a trend and hoping you didn't buy the top.

Alright so they are considered short gains and taxed at the end of the year with my normal income. So you're right it's taxed, but I'm not paying any extra for having lots of small transactions. I'm not paying an extra tax for trading, I'm paying exactly what I'd have to pay regardless of the number of transactions. Ergo >>27157738 is still wrong, and the taxability is irrelevant.

He owed taxes on the trades making him 800k but didnt pay them because he never cashed out. Then the market crash happened and he lost most of it the following year. Not really. I am correct on my calls about 70% of the time and try to stick with a 3:1 risk reward. For example, if I were to buy a coin for $1, hoping it goes to $1.1 (10%), I would exit if it instead goes to $0.097. I am right about 70% of the time, and make money. The other 30% I lose money.

To illustrate this as though you had $1,000 to play with over the course of 1 month;
>a 10% gain on a $1,000 investment is $100, a loss using the above risk/reward is $33.
>30*.7=21 days of gains, 9 days of losses.
>$2,100 total gain, $297 total loss, or a grand total of $1,803 profit every month.
Not a whole lot, but it's only using $1,000. A sum attainable by anyone willing to collect enough pocket change.
Obviously, these are very idealistic numbers and not indicative of real amounts, but you get the idea.

Only for crypto in America, correct? Also, why does crypto have to be such a huge pain in the ass? The only reason I stopped with it, personally, is because you can't buy and sell it in one place. It seems like a new site appears every other day where you buy a coin, exchange it via Uniswap (also paying stupid gas fees) and this process happens over and over until eventually you go back to Coinbase or wherever and then sell ETH or something for USD. It wastes so much unnecessary time and really makes you question if it's all worth it.

They normally just charge you more. "Free" trades are something like 3/day, but different stock. Logic behind it is that you can use people's positions to make your own positions better. Worked at construction dropped $20 into RH to play around. Googled penny stocks came to a website that said TBLT was a good play. At the time TBLT would jump from twenty five cents to around 29/30 cents. Put limit buy's at 20 and limit sales at 29. Take small profits and buy more TBLT... Kept doing this until I had over a thousand shares, took half my profit from TBLT and put in Mazda, I would make around 25 cents per trade.. I just kept swinging these two stocks for months and I would never take a loss and kept buying in for 6 months and accumulated a shit load of shares in both company, eventually I made enough to buy a share of AMD.... Started get real interesting... I went to investopedia, read and studied for hours.. Baught my first option in Zynga to get my feet wet, wanted something cheap, made $30 in profit.. I've really had a lot of luck with options, I've lost but for the most part I made bucks, started using profits to pay phone bill, later I was able to pay power bill, stayed in options for the most part and was making enough to pay mortgage every other month. Kept reading and studying and moved to TOS...Read Elliot's wave theory and started to put this stuff in play, can't really do that on RH, I believe that I could quit my job and trade full time, just haven't took the leap.

Do "computer jobs" that don't require a particular skillset (IT training, programming, etc.) even exist anymore? I also have about $270K in boomer vanguard index funds (up like $100K since 2015 or so), and a few ETFs like ARKF and ICLN.

And $5K in a Schwab account for risky bullshit like the current GME short squeeze shenanigans.
