So many seem to assume short sellers of GME will be liquidating a lot of their assets (presumably long positions) to cover for their interest and shorts.
This, they also assume will cause a lot of red in these positions.
Looking at the major indexes this week, this could already be happening.
S&P500 down almost 150 points from monday, a weekly loss of about 3,8%.
NASDAQ down almost 650 points, that's about 4,8%.
DJI also down about 1100 from its weekly high, roughly a negative of 3,5%.
So these numbers are heavily rounded, I didn't pick the exact highs and lows of the week, but I tried to come pretty close to it. It's still a good indicator of what's going on.
Now obviously there are things going on in the market other than GME, but taking into account all the heavy shilling that was going on at CNBC this week, I guess it's safe to say it's a major enough happening to make (((them))) mad.
