So what I don’t get about this pump idea is that earlier this year people tried the same thing. There was a huge run on pms. In Germany you can’t even find gold or silver. What makes people think it can just explode? Do we have to bust the physical market? Do we focus on miners who will liquidate anyways? There’s no clear direction with the pm as a commodity.

Most of these bullion dealers seem to be ripping us leafs off. Is there a way to get precious metal without paying taxes for it? Many thanks from a retard newfag.

The coin you're buying has to be created and sent to you, which is what's called premium. The premium is also higher because it's Canadian currency vs generic silver, and will likely sell for higher as well. $1-2 over spot per ounce is a reasonable premium for generic, at least in the US.

>>27091763
I would keep an eye out for deals/dips in the price of spot using something like https://findbullionprices.com/.. Silver is historically volatile and we're probably not at the absolute bottom. 10 oz is definitely a good start! You own more silver than 99% of people.

If you're considering smuggling then just taking a trip over to Europe on the Eurotunnel or a ferry and bringing back a load of VAT free silver could work. As long as you don't get caught obviously.

Ireland could be just as complicated since Northern Ireland has been left behind in the EU's customs union or something. Also I don't think there's much in the way of bullion dealers in Ireland.

I personally think Mercury Dimes are the best form of junk silver. Popular, easy to find, and very fractional.

For any constitutional silver, whether it's dimes, quarters, or half dollars, $1.40 total face value is about 1 oz. of silver if it were to be melted down. So 14 dimes, or 9 dimes and one half-dollar, or four quarters and four dimes, would all be $1.40 total face value and each example adds up to about 1 oz. of silver.

For a rough formula, multiply the face value by 0.715 to get the actual quantity of silver in ounces. Multiply that result by the spot price of silver, and there's your base silver value. For example, $1.00 face value of constitutional silver equals about 0.715 oz of silver. 0.715 times $27.00 is $19.305.

Sure, there are lots more (Australian Kangoroos?). The common coins have low premiums. If you are not sure if it will be easy to sell it, then check different online shops. I have a funny story I shared on /biz/ awhile ago. It's long but I'll greentext it
>$5000 in silver
>need to sell it because was in financial danger in the time
>wanted to sell it to coin shops
>offer price was ridiculously low compared to what I got it for from my common coin shops I went to
>started to call other coin shops not so close to me
>sorry, I got too much silver. You got any gold or ASE's? I'll take those, otherwise...got too much variants of silver.
>oh hey buddy, sorry yeah I'' take the ASE's if you got some and we accept all gold. I got thousands of ounces of silver sitting and I don't need any more
>and again
>again
>and again
after I sold at a loss, I vowed to never buy non-ASE's. Simply because we get shafted up the ass if the economy is safe and there really isn't too much drama. Right now what is occuring isn't new to society. Last time obama was in office, all coin shops were low on gold and silver...then Trump got in....then the places were full...now Biden is in office and wow everyone is low. There is nothing new to be seen here. If you want to actually see your generic silver be sold to coin shops to make a profit, you need to keep your pile of the stuff and wait for many years to pass....otherwise you aren't going to make money.

From my international experience, all coin shops operate the same. They know what sells, what doesn't sell, how long something sits on the shelf, and they are also aware of people's mindsets during certain political times.
The coin shops aren't there to make you happy. They sell to you stuff with a little bit more than it's worth, and buy your shit from you less than what it's worth. They got to pay the fee for keeping their business running, the lights, their own bills, their own food....so the majority of these shops operate in hivemind. They sell shit even more expensive during happenings right now. I called many shops today and ALL shops I called have prices literally pennies away from most ebay buyouts right now. Many places were sold out of silver just because a lot of people are afraid, including the common boomers who have thousands of rounds of silver and "NEED" to buy it all from whatever their favorite store is because Biden is here. It's all a fucking game. The only way to win is to get fucked when you pay premiums for silver, then wait a fuck ton of years and THEN see where silver is to sell it back if you need to....if not, pass it down. That's the only way to win in this business. It's not day trade.

>> No.27109335

>>27091977
I'm probably not the best to answer this question, but I think the idea is that the market can be "broken" because it is not functioning as advertised. If it really was a free market that was generating genuine price discovery, there would almost never be physical shortages like you noticed. When demand started to go up and / or supply started to go down, prices would go up enough that it would never actually be difficult to find or get, it would just command a higher price. That's how it is with the ammunition shortage. There's still plenty of ammo available to buy, but the price has really gone up. For the market, this is a better situation because if you really want / need ammo you can still get it. For silver, I think it could become nearly impossible to obtain at any price, at which point abosutely anything that is for sale can command almost any price. When you have so many huge industries that depend on using silver, I think this could create such a wave that consumers would demand that real prices be discovered.

>I still don't understand how buying physical silver is going to kill any bank.

There is a supply deficit for physical silver. The COMEX is used as a mechanism for speculating on the price of commodities, but these contracts that are traded can also be actioned upon and the COMEX is obligated to deliver(provide) the physical quantity of the commodity that the contract underlines.

Typically only a very small percentage of contracts are delivered on(roughly 1%). However - as demand for these commodities increase and fears of a supply deficit grow, more and more contracts are actioned for delivery.

The COMEX acts exactly like a fractional reserve bank, and at any given time, they only hold a fraction of 'assets'(the physical commodity) relative to its 'liabilities'(the contracts for the commodity it has written and has an obligation to deliver upon if the customer desires)

If more and more people buy physical silver, the demand for silver increases, and the supply continues to diminish. This increases the fears of the COMEX being unable to meet its obligations and MORE contracts are actioned for delivery which means the COMEX needs to purchase MORE physical silver to meet its obligations which causes more demand... and so on. This is a negative feedback loop(for them) which inevitably causes the COMEX to break

A run on the COMEX is exactly like a run on a Bank.

Admittedly, the most efficient means of causing a run on the COMEX would be to simply take delivery upon contracts, but this is not viable for retail investors. Retail investors are best buying physical silver they have direct access to.

JPM literally has some of the largest silver reserves on the planet. Newfags seem to think that the metal manipulation game is just like the Hedgefund manipulation game. No it fucking isn't. Hedgefunds are tiny peons in the great scheme of financial fraud. Owning precious metals was literally made illegal by the US government in order to prevent banks from collapsing back during the Depression and exposing to the world (again) the sham that is fractional reserve banking. Bankers control the markets and suppress the value of metals at the behest of national governments. I don't even think retail is even capable of redeeming their trash paper for actual silver at the COMEX.

10oz bars are really nice you'll be happy with them. Hopefully you get designs you like.
I have a really nice 10oz Viking round coming tomorrow in the mail. Im banned from posting photos for another 2 weeks or so, I'd love if someone can post a picture of it.
