For people new to /pmg/ and silver:

The bankers use a derivatives market called the COMEX to manipulate the price of silver. 500 digital ounces of silver are traded back and forth for every real ounce held in the vaults. Equivalent to fractional reserve banking. The banks heavily short silver there. So much so that they would go bankrupt if the physical was taken delivery of. The regulators said when first setting up silver-trading on the COMEX in the 70s that the purpose was to scare off the average investor with suppression and volatility. Don’t let them beat you. Adjusted for inflation, silver should be $966 (ShadowStats).

This article about the Hunt Brothers, "Hunt for Silver," is also a must-read: https://s3.amazonaws.com/camppictures/CampArchive/Economy/Hunt%20For%20Silver.pdf They were cheated by the bankers just like the GME short-squeezers today.

If you buy silver, only buy either physical coins or if you do go with ETFs, PSLV. DO NOT buy SLV.

PSLV: Run by billionaire silver-bull and banker-killer Eric Sprott, fully audited and backed, with a delivery mechanism at 10,000 ounces for anybody

SLV: No proven metal, run by JP Morgan, only a few big banks have access, delivery for 500,000 ounces only if you're a big bank, can pay you out in cash in case of a default

If you can't buy PSLV then buy AG, First Majestic Silver. It's the next GME. Support the squeeze on this company which has a 30% short-float. The bankers are trying to punish CEO Keith Neumeyer, who is refusing to supply the COMEX.

The 8 big banks are heavily short silver on the COMEX and will go bankrupt if silver soars. They don't have the metal to cover their short positions. Funny that. There was a time when I was talking about other companies at every waking hour of the day also. Eloro Resources, Klondike Silver, Vangold, Aurcana, Callinex, Fireweed Zinc, Dolly Varden, Impact, Aurcana, from March onwards when they were a fraction of their current price, sometimes before they went 5x or 10x. Reason why I talked so much about Bayhorse (and Silver Spruce) and bought so much Bayhorse (and Silver Spruce) recently is precisely because I don't pump things. I talk about what is undervalued, I don't encourage people to chase what has already gone up. By the way, I have no connection to Bayhorse whatsoever, I've never even had a phone conversation with the ceo or participated in a private placement.

>> No.27022169

formula for maximum you should spend on a safe:
(yearly home burglarly probability in your area) * (number of years you're gonna live there) * (value of your stack) * (safe effectiveness estimate)

safe effectiveness estimate is between 0 and 1 as a percent of how effective you think the safe would be in preventing a burglar from taking yo shit once he's in front of the safe. if it's shitty, rate it like .1 or something. if it's impenetrable, 1.0.

Example:
1% of homes robbed per year = .01
gonna live here 50 years = 50
$30,000 stack = 30000
maybe 10% of robbers would carry the tools necessary to break open my safe = .9 effectiveness rating
.01 * 50 * 30000 * .9 = 13500.0

i can spend $13,500 on a safe without it being overkill

Golds is gold, but buying gold coins from a government mint offers better liquidity when it's time to sell because they're more difficult to counterfeit. You pay a premium for a bit of extra safety and liquidity when it comes time to sell.

If you're in the US, American Golden Eagles, Golden Maples, Krugerrands etc., are all good and easily recognizable. Maples are 24kt Gold, so they're softer whereas AGEs are only 92% gold (still 1toz of gold in both, but Eagles have some silver and nickel added on top, same amount of gold as a Maple but weighs more).
Damn it all my funds are stuck on meme stocks! I want to buy more BBLG and AG.

Depends on how risk averse you are. I'm at 55% Gold and 45% Silver because I'm conservative. But I also have a decent amount going into mining companies.

Silver has more upside - and downside volatility, so the same way Silver could go to $50 soon, it can crash down to 10-15. Note that current market condition favors silver rising by a HUGE order of magnitude, but it's not as stable as Gold. I think it's more likely to see $100/oz than sub-$20, but can't predict the future.

Platinum would be good to diversify into if you had a large PM portfolio, but they're not as liquid and don't have the same historical function as money that Gold and Silver do. I think if you're buying $20k worth, ignore those.

My local dealer's advice was that if you have 100k or more in Gold, 10% of that in Platinum is a good hedge against Gold's price fluctuations. A few years ago they were at inverse price points with Pt being at $1800ish and Gold at $1100.

Honestly guys, I think we really are at the precipice of something that can't be stopped. We opened Pandora's box here. Remember all the talk about "Oh there won't be any hyperinflation because all that newly printed money is sitting at a bank as reserve"? Well, now all of these people who made small fortunes with GME, AMC and all the other meme stocks are going to take that money out and pump it into the real economy.

This is why we stack, and it's insane that it's happening right in front of our eyes. I already converted half of my savings into physical, now considering converting 75% of the remainder too.

>>27029298

You can ask for delivery of silver from PSLV, but only if you own a certain (substantial amount, 5000 or 15000, I don't remember) so it's not a good delivery mechanism for the average investor.

You're welcome. So long as you hold stocks, no, there are no holding fees. If you hold cash you lose a small amount over time because it's held in a liquidity fund and European banks now have negative-interest rates. But you can simply withdraw your cash immediately instead of keeping it in Degiro. Fee to buy or sell on the NYSE is only £0.50 so very cheap.

Important thing to note about PSLV is that the allocated principle and delivery-mechanism always give it quite as much value as there is in physical silver. The average person might not be able to take delivery on PSLV, but rich people and institutions will always desire to accumulate enough shares to do so. So you will always be able to liquidate your PSLV shares for the fair-market price of silver. Cf. the 10,000 ounces you need for PSLV with the _500,000_ ounces you need for SLV, _and_ you can't take delivery on SLV unless you're one of the twelve largest banks. Which is all part of the fraud, being that they never do, and the whole thing is unaudited. SLV is a rug-pull but PSLV isn't. And PSLV is a way actually to bankrupt the COMEX since the trust needs to keep taking deliveries there to keep up with the share-buying. PSLV kills the bankers.

You'll probably want 50 sen coins from the 20s and 30s. Just like Reichsmarks they're more numismatically valuable than valuable for the silver in them. They're 72% Silver and contain 0.114 ozt. ASW. Older than that you have Silver coins from the 19th and early 20th Century which are mostly 80% Silver ranging in denomination from 5 sen (which was only minted in silver until 1880) to 50 sen and a 90% Silver 1 Yen coin containing about as much Silver as a Silver Dollar. All of this is much more expensive with almost everything from this era commanding a high premium.
You also have 100 Yen coins from the 50s and 60s which are 60% Silver and can be bought much closer to spot.

Got into AG for 1k € @ 22 € at the first peak, it's been up to 22 € more than once before this year, so even if you opt in around that value, you might just have to hodl for a long time to cash out the same amount, not much harm done, and even in case you don't, it's still a value store. With this amount of traction you know the pump's gonna be going for a couple more days at least.
Sure I might cash out half at 45 €, but hodling until then, and you know by then there's gonna be more people in it that simply invested something they can lose and don't care as well as people that are hodling for at least a week.
Rationally, even if you are not in it for the short squeeze and just want a quick buck, now is the time to get in on this while it's still early, remember, this craze is getting spread even more after the GME craze is over.
If you are in it for the short squeeze, then hats off to you and props! Sadly, some of us are poorfags that can't really afford to lose much, might leave in like 100 just to participate, if I could afford to lose more, I would be in it just to stick it to big dumb.
In any case, whether you are in it for profit or to fuck over big dumb money, the time to buy IS NOW!!! Doesn't matter what you think of the future of silver etc., if nothing else, the price is gonna pump just because of the fad. It's just the wonders of the age of internet. Love you guys and everyone participating. Get shorty.

Diamonds are a scam, De Beers basicly controls the market to my knowledge

I do have a mineral collection though, you might want to look into that, there are a lot of beautiful rocks for fair prices

Interesting how in a matter of days /pmg/ has gone from an eminently comfy sleepy backwater to a high-velocity classroom for newfriend budding stackers and mining investors. Bullish, but is it sustainable?

Always try to get the most divisible stack for the cheapest cost. The only benefit large bars have, besides being pretty fucking cool cause it's a giant fucking bar, is they're usually cost-efficient. If you can get 32-1oz coins for a smidge more than 1-Kilo bar, I'd recommend that.

Honestly since I worked there core cutting I saw some pretty good changes in onsite people running the place but I dont know if it will be enough to bring the project in line, its really hard to say. Sprott went in and cleared house, but many of the people still there cant really be fired, they know the project too well and removing them causes to many issues, but those same people are dragging the project. Make your on decision knowing this. I can go further into this later, I am busy getting asked about site safety right now.

I think web services generally like to deny passport photos and prefer ID cards.
I know I was shilling, but as always don't invest anything you can't afford to lose, I count myself amongst the few normal people on 4chan and, contrary to many others, don't want to see people go bankrupt on fads. :)

There's blood in the water and people are jumping in without even knowing why. The number of people who have no idea what they're getting themselves into when it comes to AMC & GME but are still throwing more money into the fire without any thought is pretty terrifying. I'm in a couple of /wsb/ Discord groups and people who didn't even know they could trade stock are now depositing thousands to try and cash in on the squeeze. Little do they know they'll end up holding someone's bags for a very long time if they're not careful but nobody listens to me.

I imagine it'll be similar with the Silver situation. Lots of people FOMOing into something they don't quite understand; except they'll still have that nice physical stack they bought, whereas paying $300 for a share of GME will be worth $0 in a few weeks.

Is that sterling or pure silver? Also WSB faggots will leave when they dont see a massive profit or loss in the next week or two.
