Yeah, pools are one of the main things in here and in general any project that has pools, but I would say number one seller for me, more than pools is DEFLATION.
Don't you get it, it deflates, not that even now supply is not big (around 82mil.) but it burns and supply decreases with usage and balancing. And it is coded to be at balanced rate, less coin, slower the burn so it won't vaporize in 4 days when volume goes high in future. Same as Bitcoin mining gets harder and harder so you just can't mine it all with 10 GPU's. In future, it will be more scarce then Bitcoin, and we saw what Statera went through and came out stronger. It is being here non-stop since Day 1, nobody listened when Assblaster was posting about Link, nobody bought ETH at one or two digits, warosu full of suicides, will be the same.

See you again at 7$.

The thing is, with Statera supercharging the pools, even if Statera itself became completely worthless (highely unlikely especially with the deflation) it would still beat many top Balancer pools in returns because of the volume this thing creates. It's just crazy to me some people are selling at these prices given the potential. In half a year the supply has reduced from 101M to now below 83M. At this rate it will be more scarce than Bitcoin in just a few years

To expand on my point a bit
If you're thinking about buying STA right now, ask yourself this question: Do I think STA has a chance to become a top 100 coin?
If you answer yes, then you should absolutely buy STA
In order to crack the top 100, STA would need to do a 20x from its current price. And that's not including deflation or overall market growth, so in reality it would have to do even more than that (probably more like 25x - 30x)

I think probably the advice you received was to hold half your stack in STA and the other half in wSTA. You then pool ALL of it in the Infinity pool on Uniswap. To pool you need equal measure of two coins. In this case 50% STA/ 50% wSTA.

Ok that makes sense. The part about pooling the entire 50/50 stack was not mentioned in the advice I read. Info is sparse and in fragments but I understand the basic concept, just working out the details. What better place than in a STA thread.

I am guessing the 50/50 split has something to do with the unique nature of STA (deflationary, 1% burn, etc). If I am completely wrong on that no worries. The key takeaway is 50/50 STA/wSTA. Basically do one ETH swap for each

Honestly, pooling is still a fairly new concept. It's hard to dig up useful info.
The 50/50 thing is actually the dollar amounts you have to pool. If you had two coins, any two coins, you have to pool equal dollar value even if the price of each coin is hugely different. But STA and wSTA are always roughly equal in price so you can effectively just match one to one.

I'm guessing the advice you got was to hold 50% of your STA stack, and put the rest into the Stanos pool. This makes sense, as it kind of gives you the best of both worlds
The Stanos pool is great, but if / when STA moons, you aren't making as much money off of the pump. This is what IL means
On the other hand, during times when STA is crabbing or dipping, you're better off in the Stanos pool, because you're protected with shares of BTC, ETH, LINK, and SNX. You also stand to make money any time one of those assets pumps. Also you're earning fees the whole time you are pooled
Holding only STA = more moonshot potential, but missing out on fees, and less protection from dumps
Stanos pooling = Safer overall and earning fees. But not quite as high moonshot potential

Personally I believe this will happen again, only next time starting from a much higher number. Maybe something like 20c to $1 in a matter of days
In this circumstance, you are 100% better off holding STA, the fees from the pool will not outweigh the potential gains missed. Yes you can unpool when STA starts pumping. But if this is your plan you'd better be watching the price constantly so you don't miss out
