Yes, why do you think they block GME AND AMC?

I don't know. With GME it was a unique catalyst of events that caused this. Let's say reddit had never gotten involved, GME stock probably still would have gone up and triggered some kind of shitty situation for the shorts. There were a few people (probably most notable would be Michael Burry) who were pointing out what was happening with GME. The proposition was pretty straightforward, Gamestop in the long run is probably fucked but it wasn't 2020 or 2021 fucked. The hedgies were banking on GME going into BK pretty soon. When that didn't happen and GME made the correct management changes it started to really fuck up the shorts. Then reddit got involved and it just drove the stock into a crazy place. Basically with GME the shorts were going to get fucked over no matter what but reddit piling on has really driven this thing to levels probably even the people who were bullish on GME couldn't have foreseen.

I don't know if that same set of circumstances applies to AMC. Yes it's heavily shorted(not as much as GME) but just because it's being shorted doesn't mean the same situation applies. AMC might actually be in a dogshit place, idk. I'd be wary of just assuming every stock reddit memes is the next GME. I guess I'd need to see some due diligence on AMC before I'd seriously commit.

AMC isn’t going bankrupt anymore. Even if the squeeze never happens, theaters will eventually open up this year and you’ll see a spike in AMC’s price then. It’s literally win win.

I think that's fair, I just wouldn't expect any crazy GME type gains off of AMC.
