Checked.

Coinbase for cheap (3%) fast ramp ons
Bank Wire for large slow ramp ons
Use Kraken if you want to do more advance buying and selling.
Atomic Wallet is the best overall Wallet I've ever used.
Get Meta Mask Browser Plugin for swapping new ERC20 tokens (aka RBC or FTM).

Welcome to DeFi !

Get Coinbase. Take a big loan from the bank and your life savings, then pick the fastest growing coin or stock. Wait a week and you’ll be a millionaire.

Coinbase is the best for investing, no doubt. You can do the same with Binance, which also features a far greater number of assets (and you'll want access to these eventually if you become heavily involved in the crypto space), but if it's a matter of 'How do I invest money into BTC rather than having it rot away in my drawer due to inflation?', then Coinbase is the way to go. Get some Stellar (XLM) while you're at it.

Coinbase has 0.5% trading fees and not that many pairs. Binance has 0.1% fees and 500+ different coin pairs, besides that it also has options for passive income.
Ref for a further 5% discount on all fees.

Why not? Might be worth hopping on Binance or another exchange and just picking up some microcap coins if it's really less than a hundred at a time we're talking about,

But BTC is BTC; sats are sats, and they will appreciate massively in the weeks, months, years ahead. Gamble on small coins and hope the tide lifts them, or rest easy with BTC.
