You have clear instruction with screenshots and still can't manage to do it. Here comes the airplane, open wide retard!
Doing transactions on an ERC20 coin will incur gas fees, you must have enough ETH to pay these gas fees.
I was going to tell you even MORE specifically what to do, but if you can't figure it out as this point you don't deserve it. I hope you never reproduce.

short answer is because it's deflationary and decentralized, when added to a liquidity pool (essentially crypto index funds), it creates constant arbitrage opportunities since it's deflationary and constantly changing price. these arbitraging opportunities are what drive activity and volume in liquidity pools, thus is "supercharges" these pools by adding activity, and thus fees to poolers. since every single transaction burns 1% of the supply, and thus deflates the coin, even the act of arbitraging creates a NEW arbitrage opportunity immediately. it's an elegant self-feeding cycle that forces the price of the coin upward.

statera/uniswap is built on the ethereum platform, and to make changes to ethereum, you need to pay eth. so you need to have some eth in your wallet to be able to pay what's called "gas" fees. these are basically like "bribes" to miners telling them to process YOUR transaction. depending on demand, the going rates for gas ebbs and flows. metamask should suggest various prices (slow, medium, fast) to you when you try to do this

It said it imported that Statera token and I clicked "I Understand" and continue, connected my wallet and permitted access. Was I supposed to get a free ETH or something? Can I even start over?

>>26933589
do you have any ethereum (ETH) currently in your metamask wallet? see: >>26933273. you may not have enough eth to cover the gas for the amount of STA you want to buy. you can try adjusting and lowering the amount of STA you're swapping for so you have more ETH available for gas.

I don't think it helps that i'm brand new to crypto in the first place and the image in OP is what I went by to start off.

>> No.26934963

>>26934226
it's overwhelming for a beginner for sure. the issue is you need extra ETH to pay the gas fee. so you can't just swap 100% of it. leave some so you can pay for the gas fee.

To be fair to OP, the image posted doesn't concern pooling; its subject is purchasing STA. For most, this is a mind-bogglingly difficult process all in itself.

>> No.26935645

>>26935481
the OP image needs to be edited to mention leaving some of the ETH for gas. newbies won't know this shit.
