to anyone who wants an intro to pooling without the risk of impermanent loss (ie. when you pool two or more different assets, you end up making less gains if one increases a bunch compared to if you just held both without pooling), look into the "infinity pool", which pools statera with it's wrapped version (basically a clone), WSTA, which is pegged 1:1 to the price of STA, and thus you're essentially holding the same fund (thus no impermanent loss), yet collecting fees from pooling.

to do this either swap half your STA for WSTA on uniswap, or swap ETH for WSTA directly so you roughly have as much WSTA as you already do STA. i'm seeing about 8% annual return since i started last week, just free statera. if STA moons, those fees will be even sweeter.

Wrapped Statera is the "Balancer pool safe" version of Statera. If you want to pool in a Balancer pool you need wSTA. Uniswap can handle regular STA though.

>> No.26934408

>>26933923
It's used for pooling in balancer. Early in Statera's run it exploded but there was an exploit on Balancer due to its deflationary nature. It's also used for yield farming and creating a pool to solve the liquidity issue (wSta balancing against Statera in itself) that was slowing token burn and reducing the upward price pressure for a while.

>> No.26934487

>>26933923
main reason was so it can be compatible with certain DEX's (it's not currently on any CEX's, yet), as the deflationary action leads to security exploits on certain DEX's - WSTA does NOT deflate, but is still pegged to the price of STA 1:1. so a cool side effect was creating a STA-WSTA liquidity pool which will have arbitrage opportunities in itself, and since it's essentially all the same asset, if it moons there's no impermanent loss (essentially the opportunity cost of providing liquidity instead of just holding)

>> No.26934588

If you're only going to pool for a short time you won't make back the cost of the gas you paid to enter the pool. The gas required varies depending on the pool. Balancer is more expensive than Uniswap but Balancer pools are offering a higher return rate. Also the Balancer gas fees are mainly the one-off setup cost. After that, it's cheaper.

Educate people. I am very against shamelessly shilling Statera, because if we all hold and pool the price pressure will increase and cause more people to fomo in.

People trying to flip Statera, lie to people about it being listed on Binance, etc. for quick buys and sells for fast money are actually hurting the project. Statera is inevitable, but it will take time and we need to get a solid community together for things to work.

Infinity is for folks who basically just want to hodl their STA. That's fine - it's what I do. At current rates, if you leave your STA in Infinity for one year you'll find you have approximately 7% more tokens than you pooled. Not only will you have more tokens, but the price of a token will have increased too. It's a no-brainer unless you're only hodling a small amount - in which case it'll take a long time to make back the gas fees you paid to enter the pool.

metamask actually will popup with 3 different gas rates (slow, average, fast) automatically when you are about to do a transaction (the higher your offered gas, the faster a miner will wanna pick it up). if it's too low, the network will recognize that and cancel the order essentially (i think uniswap has an advanced setting for expiration of the swap operation), and the most you can lose is the total gas price you're offering, but it's usually much less because since it wasn't processed, there wasn't any complex operation happening and only some gas is used. i actually used too little gas yesterday when buying STA, which was expected to be like $13. ended up costing me only $1.30

If your transaction fails your coins will never leave your wallet. So you're safe in that regard. But you will lose the gas money - the ETH network still had to undertake some work to even figure out whether it was going to process your transaction and that in itself costs some gas.

Because Statera deflates it triggers more re-balancing of the pool. Which is another way of saying it generates more volume for the pool. Which is another way of saying poolers earn more money.

Pretty simply: a deflationary BTC that acts as a store of value + supercharges liquidity pools. Just a great hodl for the average joe and bigtime investor alike

To invest in Stanos (or any liquidity pool) you need an equal amount of each asset in that pool, right?
Does "# of LP's" indicate the number of people in that pool, or something else?

You can single asset pool

>you need an equal amount of each asset
No. If you have the coins sitting in your wallet then this is an option - Balancer calls it "Multi Asset" pooling, but most of us use the "Single Asset" option. Balancer automatically makes everything even. I don't know if there's a price difference between multi and single.
>Does "# of LP's" indicate
Correct. It's the number of wallets that are currently pooling in that pool.

The WSB bros will know this is the next DeFi shitcoin - it's just a matter of getting them understanding how the fuck to buy it.
They are all new to crypto and don't understand that it isn't a share - so if it isn't on robinhood they won't fucking buy it.

question: where is this stored? i have about $40k in eth, may want to jump on board. how do i know i own the keys to this ride and know i won't just be scammed out of it

I wonder how many of the retards who don't buy STA actually read about it and don't understand. Hard to believe that there are so many people who can't understand it. Double digit iq should be enough. I assume most people don't even read at all.

Statera had a lot of angry people when it dumped from 47 cents to 3 earlier this year.

I held throughout the whole thing and watched my money go down and back up. I see it as the next Bitcoin, and really it provides technology even top 10 cryptos can't compete with in terms of store of wealth. It's an interesting one. I really believe in it, and I believed in its success the entire way. I wish I didn't fud myself out of buying more at 3 cents, though. I just don't want to put too much in and start getting emotional.

I sold after my uncle passed and ended up with living expenses and family that needed help. Still on the sidelines now, but it's fun watching the regulars on their way to making it. I sort of live for the pumps through them.
