I remember looking up it's mining profitability a couple years ago and it was one of the toppest if not the. I just checked it again (got a good gpu finally for my brainless entertainment) and it's in the top three too. What's the catch? Should I get into mining? I live in slavlands so electricity is fairly cheap. If I let it running 24/7 I will be legit making like third of my shit wage already.

There's no catch whatsoever. Most of us don't mine because electricity costs + hardware depreciation aren't worth casual mining, whereas investing in a farm takes a long time to payoff
