Maybe I'm missing something here but why is Litecoin priced lower that bitcoin besides popularity? It seems to me after using it for awhile that it is objectively superior.

Litecoin is severely undervalued because bitcoin is about to have more drama and the fees will NOT be lowered.

Don't worry, its going up as we speak

Nah. The analogy is still there.
BTC = Gold
LTC = silver

Although given the OPs theme. We may see the rise of litecoin.

Whales are rumored to use it as a store of value for August 1st. It held value through this dip perfectly, so it may work out even better next month.

No it didn't, but it did way better than other cryptos. LTC is historically the last volatile crypto. It was $4-5 for four years.

I wrote this article, I think it's a fucking scam.

Lightning is a fucking scam, the mit counter is a fucking scam.

It doesn't deserve a 2 billion dollar market cap, I can't wait until it gets gutted.

But if litecoin is so shitty and unnecessary then why is it the 4th biggest coin by market cap? And I don't mean this rhetorically I actually wonder why this is?

1 moderately bigger ethereum mining-pool could successfully 50% attack litecoin and oliberate it if they wanted to

https://www.coinwarz.com/network-hashrate-charts/litecoin-network-hashrate-chart

meanwhile bitcoin is literally unattackable by anyone, the hardware that's being used for it is useless for anything else

so it's probably safety, beside the fact that BTC is actually the most widely accepted cryptocurrency, while LTC is accepted pretty much nowhere fraction of places of ETH

I'm convinced LTC is doing a controlled stable moon. Every month or so for a while it permanently jumps in price and more or less stays there, going up like steps. I think its quietly being set up to be a big, stable, reliable coin. In contrast to the ethereum rollercoaster.
