They might a stream of new customers for a while and a good revenue burst that could help them with whatever plans the new CEO has to turn things around. I don't think anyone has ever made a bigger galaxy brain move than GameStop remaining completely silent throughout all this and not pulling a single jewish trick. AMC already announced they're going to dilute the market to bail out the shorts, NOK released some statement yesterday, but GameStop is pretending nothing is happening and they should be rewarded for that. They're irrelevant to this fight and they know it.

They're just issuing more shares. Under normal conditions it would be fine. It's just a way to inject more cash in their operations and it's kind of the original reason for the stock market to exist, but it's very tone deaf right now.

diluting wont bail out the shorts. Positions scale with splits. You short sell 100 shares and they split so there are now twice as many shares in existence, you are on the hook to deliver 200 shares.

As shareholders we could start demanding $20/hr min wage for Gamestop employees plus full benefits, worker protections, sick pay, etc and 401k. Same with AMC and all other meme stocks
