I've said this before and nobody believes me, but Dogecoin actually makes perfect sense if you view it as an entertainment rather than an investment.
People buy it because they like it. It's plucky, it's fun to watch the number go up, it's fun to make people shriek in rage, it's fun. Now someone inevitably gets left holding the bag--yes--but that is the price some people are willing to pay for this fun. If you play it seriously and carefully you can profit, but no matter what it's a hell of a ride.
