Since for most of human history a days wage equaled a silver piece the size of a silver dime. And 14 silver dimes equals 1 ounce of silver. So 1 ounce of silver is equal to 2 weeks worth of wages.

The dollar value of silver does not matter. Silver going up in price is not the same thing as Amazon stock going up in price. Silver is just savings and doesn’t gain or lose %-wise one bit. You make it with silver in the reset. For a new currency or whatever. Then you buy assets for literally a penny on the dollar for what it cost you to buy the silver in the current fiat paradigm.

Guys, I just found out. Silver is heavily taxed in the whole EU. VAT applies to it, meaning you are charged 15-25% on top of it.
