Ameritrade, just checked. Go to GME, click the fundamentals tab, and scroll down to short interest. If you don't believe me look at the screenshot name.

Haha nothing personal. Pretty easy to fudge numbers with a computer.

>> No.26781191

the squeeze is indeed happening but guess what happens after that: all the retarded retail investors who didn't sell on the way up and were peer pressured into "hodling" by real traders are left with nothing but worthless stock in a worthless company. take profit before Friday

taking profits before friday would be very stupid

>> No.26781375

Why should the squeeze stop until short interest is less than at least less than 100%?

>> No.26781660

>>26781300
not taking profits yesterday would be very stupid. you realize it's not going to be a gentle slide down to 10 dollars right? it's going to fucking torpedo to dogshit in seconds, literally nobody is going to buy your bags

>>26781375
someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but those new shorts aren't necessarily the old ones
if the stock is flying through the roof and new bears are getting in and shorting, they're in a much better position than the ones that were shorting when GME was worth very little. the percent would still be high but they won't necessarily be squeezed because those shorted shares were borrowed recently when the price was already insanely high

Borrowing fee for new shorts ranges anywhere from 100% - 250%

Like >>26781660 said, once the price starts to fall, it's falling straight to the bottom. I'd be surprised if it took more than a day to make it back under $50.

>>26780399
Couldn't most of these just be new shorts leveraged against the current ridiculous price levels, which everyones knows are going to crash?

They still have to borrow stock from somebody to do that, if nobody sells then the price keeps getting bigger because interest rates keep piling up on them

2 days to close with the insane movement going on, and if everyone holds, stocks only go up. If it’s a concentrated effort, there’s not a way the little guy loses without Fed help.

It's not going down that low. Retail traders are not that fast. We work, we have family, we play vidya games. We aren't investors with trailing stops, algorithms, etc.

The sell off will not be immediate if it's a million different people having to sell when they have time.
