They can't. You don't get it. They have to transfer wealth here. Cash value. WSB is going to sell for money. Not overvalued, bubbly assets. Money. That money has to come from somewhere and it will come from liquidating other assets and from loans (or a government bail out if the can gets kicked down the road). Remember that when you take billions in profits, it causes 10s to 100s of billions in lost market cap. This can cause knock-on insolvencies for companies that can no longer rely on their crashed stocks for financing.

It's staggering if the WSBs somehow don't start running with their profits and hold out till the weekend. Worse if they then take those profits and repeat this process wherever the float is at or over 100% short.
