The only problem I have with GRT is that the fucking staking rewards and GRT are trapped for 28 days after you undelegate. Say you wanted to live off your staking rewards and withdraw them monthly.. there is no way to do so without waiting 28 days.

Say you took out a loan to buy GRT and delegate it, you cannot use the staking rewards to pay back the monthly interest payments. Or you want to pay your monthly mortgage/rent.

You would be paying the gas fee every day as the dividends get deposited.

The whole point is that it's a stake, the 28 day waiting period is deliberate. Of course, it's ultimately decided by community consensus so it could be cut in half or more.

If you want to live off of your dividends, just withdraw every month or so.

Had 4k GRT and started delegating 3.1k a few days ago. After the 0.5% fee I now have 3.08k in a fairly large indexer with good fee and rewards %. According to https://thegraph.stake-machine.com/d/I3Mru_xGk/thegraph-delegator?orgId=1&refresh=5m I'm making around 0.06GRT per hour, so around 40 GRT a month. Assuming 50c a GRT I'll make ~$20 a month off a ~$1500 investment, which is about 16% APY. Not bad, but considering gas fees and 0.5% stake fee it'll take a couple months before I break even (if GRT stays around 50 cents).

All that being said, you can do fine with delegating 3k after a couple months, but I'd probably say a decent starting stack is 5k because of fee and gas.
