If there really is a short squeeze and institutions get desperate there is no limit on how high the stock can get. With over 100% of shares sold short there's a LOT of money in the red right now and at some point they'll have to capitulate. On the other hand whatever big institutions are holding GME could do the shorters a favor and just sell their bags to help cover shorts, they could even do it OTC so it won't be reflected in the public markets. It's hard to say.

Basically you should treat this like a crypto shitcoin right now.

With only 5 shares I'm not going to bother holding to try to sell the top, I'd rather just be able to brag that I doubled my money on GME and not have FOMO or regrets seeing GME hit 300 or 400 before crashing again. Ultimately I don't trust reddit to actually hold the line against institutions and there's a lot of potential for shenanigans, like the trading halt this morning. Already up almost $800 today. I sort of get whats going on but honestly I am in disbelief that this is happening, but I am going along for the ride.

I see a lot of people talking about pulling out at $200, but how many people having paper hands and pulling out will it take to reverse the situation? Also big institutions that have shares could sell them to cover the shorts, how likely is that? Realistically what are the chances of actually making it to $1k?

I'm selling at $200 but I bought this morning at $97, I don't think my sell of 5 shares is going to affect anything at all. You should be more worried about people who've been holding for months taking profits rather than people riding the bubble right now.

I'd say potential for institutions to help each other out and cover shorts is very high. Eventually I think someone holding GME stocks (maybe a pension or something) will do an OTC trade for less than market value to do a favor for their buddy and all that oversold stock will resolve itself outside of the public trading desk. I think the possibility of $1k is 0%. The SEC would get involved well before then because that'd be high enough to start wrecking entire banks.

I invested in AMC before the election and had a nice pull. Their operations from what their CEO said at the time was stable, and planning on transitioning their business model.

If you understanding ticket sales (Movie theatre gets .25 / film company gets .75 per dollar) AMC has a higher potential as a platform provider for various entertainment markets compared to sticking to their traditional model.

My biggest concern is that their largest investors are Chinese and abroad. If foreign affairs escalation occurs, the stock price could be affected significantly. At least that was my fear.

I'd love to hear why I'm wrong.
