>For weeks big players have been slowly transferring their wealth Into their new asset: Bancor. When accumulation finishes (look for a pump in Bancor) Uniswap and Sushiswap will be abandoned

Yes anon. It has begun. But you're still early. Bancor the god tier AMM that has ended impermanent loss, enabled single asset staking and increased TVL 1,000% in just over a month (now at over $200M) is reaching the point of critical mass where all of those locked funds, including nearly 60% of BNT supply, and increased adoption of their system, and thus increased need and use of BNT, is leading to immense price pressure that will push BNT to new all time highs. The first major catalyst for the pump will be triggered by the bullish unlocking of BNT rewards which is almost certainly happening this week. When all of those stakers receive their BNT rewards and inevitably lock them back into the protocol's pools due to the insane APYs, even more price pressure will be placed on the token. To top it off, Bancor is also building crosschain to Polkadot and other chains and also building on L2 using Arbitrum. There are also major institutional investors piling in to BNT and shilling it all over Twitter like the Winklevoss twins, Novogratz, Draper and others. This is the DeFi blue chip that the elites have chosen as their pump of choice. Why? Because Bancor BNT is the original god tier AMM and has functions that no other AMM is capable of developing and they all know that Bancor will beat Uniswap, and all other copy cats with higher TVL and higher token price. BNT supply is incredibly scarce compared to UNI and Sushi. There's only so much available. With 60% locked in pools and increased demand + bullish unlocking and restakings + L2 Arbitrum + DOT bridge this token is set to explode. Don't buy it though if you hate money.

Do what you think is best. GRT is a solid project but the 10 billion token supply is a red flag for me. Only 100 million BNT in circulation and 60% of supply is locked in pools and the need for it is growing. It is rapidly moving off exchanges into Bancor’s pools, growing TVL and increasing price pressure. I am more bullish on BNT than any other defi coin due to the low supply, incredible tokenomics and massive undervaluation when looking at the amount of revenue Bancor is generating for the protocol. BNT, realistically, should be around $15 to $20 right now.

according to what's been shared, rewards will show in the protection screen when they are dropped. you start earning rewards right away when you stake, but you need to stay in the pool to earn impermanent loss protection. you get 30% insurance at 30 days in the pool. then protection increases 1% more each day all the way up to 100% at 100 days. also in addition to the rewards and insurance you also earn the swap fees. so theres compounding yield. yields compound even more if you restake the BNT rewards. most rewards pools have over 200% APY for BNT liquidity providers.

No. This is a massively bullish unlocking where the majority of people receiving rewards will be immediately restaking the new BNT straight back into the pools due to the 2x APY that is being given to anyone who does. Good chance that amount of BNT locked in Bancor pools will near 70% of total supply after this. Also, in general, unlockings have become a bullish indicator.

For example:

1inch drops liquidity mining rewards - Token moons 100%
Solana Supply increases 9x - moons to $1.50
AVAX supply doubles - moons from $2.80 to $14.50
Yearn announces supply increase - YFI moons 30% in a day.
... and the list goes on.

Anyone who has staked on Bancor since the beginning liquidity mining in December will be able to claim rewards this week. The mining program is 2 years long. This is the first rewards drop. After this liquidity providers will be able to claim rewards at any time. So I'd anticipate that once people see how large the rewards are that many new liquidity providers waiting on the sidelines are going to ape into Bancor's pools to get a slice of the action. The bigger the pools get from stakes, the more liquidity is in the system, the more trades Bancor processes, the more revenue the protocol generates, the more valuable BNT becomes because it is needed to run the entire system, and anyone who stakes BNT in Bancor's pools gets 70% of all of those rewards.

Okay so I went to the site and it seems that you're adding liquidity to pools so that people can trade around because your tokens are staked there. What is this like giving a bank your cash so that they can do their business and if they are charging transaction fees their customers, you are getting a percentage of that, and then you can pull your tokens back out down the road at a certain point when you are allowed to, and then sell it if you want? Or just rice take them? If that's the thing, I got it down! But I figure like anything in life, that probably isn't it at all or something. But if so, the next question is, what pools am I supposed to put them into? A thousand into aetherium and another thousand into link? I feel like those are the ones that are doing massive amounts of Trades lately and that's what's going to net the most cash. And then the website says it's baton to use it at your own risk, connect to a wallet which all I'm using is coinbase. So I guess the question is are, how far am I off base at this point?

Well, a bank can lose your money. If you stake in a DEX without IL, you are doing the own business on there. The fees earned on your proportion of the pool go to you and you only.

Your next step is to transfer your tokens from Coinbase to Metamask, which is the wallet used to connect to Bancor (or any DeFi project run on the Ethereum Network for that matter)

So download the Metamask plugin on Chrome and follow the instructions given by Coinbase on how to transfer tokens from there to Metamask. If you're worried about security it's always a good idea to run your antivirus through the PC before getting started

The point that most people in the space are sleeping on is that Bancor is the original AMM. It raised a record-breaking amount of money at its ICO in 2017, and after releasing V1, discovered the issue of impermanent loss and spent the next few years building a solution to it.

Meanwhile, Uniswap and Sushiswap forked the Bancor V1 protocol and rushed out what is a terrible deal for liquidity providers, and stole the limelight for all the wrong reasons despite the notoriety they've gained. There is no impermanent loss protection in those protocols, and the APYs quoted for LPs are essentially a lie. Unless you're a multi-million dollar whale, you're lucky to make any profit at all as an LP on those protocols

Patience is lucrative in this space. Not only is Bancor v2.1 the best AMM to provide liquidity to and in turn trade on, it is quite frankly the ONLY AMM that should be used by anybody. And it can't be forked, because the IL solution is built into the BNT token

>> No.26507671

>>26507457

You can withdraw; you’re not fully protected and may suffer IL depending on the size of your stack (generally under 4 digit link let’s can withdraw 100% after 30 days) but that is missing the forest for the trees.

Bnt requires a 24 unlock from being staked; there is no 100 day minimum lock up like crypto.com or some cefi scam like that. You can withdraw at any time, so if you’re degen and about to get liqd on aave, you can still remove your LINK before the 100 day (at a partial IL risk) to cover your ass.

These guys invented the AMM, and uniswap copied it. Now Bancor have tried to mitigate IL initially with v2, but ethereum was too expensive to have chainlink feeds update too early and so the front running risk was too great.

All they ever do is innovate. And Bancor haven’t been so kind as to open their repo, so the other dexes will eat when Bancor tells them to. Also Andre cronje has fully admitted that the Bancor devs are too big brain for him.

Bancor is unironically the best yield farm to ever exist. No other staking option even compares. They literally give you everything. Protection from IL, single sided staking and massive APY. You'd be lucky to get just one of these options on another yield farm. Bancor gives you it all. They're also a veteran project, been in the space for 4 years, with the top developers in the business. The most legit defi blue chip in existence and massively undervalued. Anyone smart enough to hold and stake BNT deserves the generational that is coming.

Re-staking is so fucking boolish it hurts

Think about it: all liquidity mining rewards in the history of mankind are either held or dumped

If you wanted to re-stake them to the protocol, you would need to sell some or add new tokens. Like UNI or SUSHI - if I want to add my rewards back into the protocol I have to pair them with ETH or sell them for ETH

SINGLE-SIDED POOLS CHANGE EVERYTHING. I can easily funnel rewards back into pools to compound gains without selling / adding new tokens. more fees and rewards, then re-stake again, and again and again, until Uni and Sushi are mere blips on the liquidity radar - failed attempts at forking the original m'fking of AMMs

All mxn and wxmen will bend the knee

Rumors are rewards are going live tomorrow/Wednesday. Everyone will see how profitable it is to stake on Bancor and fomo into BNT and their pools. 500m TVL in week 1, 1B TVL in week 2

With 300$ I wouldn't suggest diversifying much if at all, buying on binance or uniswap (using metamask wallet for example) doesn't matter, whatever is easier for you and has good volume (i.e. a buy / sell doesn't have a big impact on price). BNT is a good long term hold imo, not sure you'd want to be locked in for 3 months if your investment is 300$ though, might want to try getting a 2x or 3x and then moving funds to another to compound the gains. Easier said than done of course. There's really no trick, you need to keep up to date with the trends and market leaders, promising low cap projects that may be undervalued... You will most likely lose money as you learn, but as long as you end up earning more than losing you're fine. So keep coming on biz, research, be diligent but also ready to take a risk and eventually you should make it.
Besides BNT I like PNK, it's relatively undervalued especially considering its use case and their working product, vitalik likes it too (don't have the tweets under hand but he mentioned it multiple times), that'd be another recommendation for a long term hold. Good read:
https://medium.com/the-definancier/the-subjectivity-problem-39bdd2704cb3

Anyway, no one here knows the future so keep an open mind but ultimately you need to make the decisions and learn from the success and failures. Don't be swayed like the wind just because of fud or shills here (but don't blind yourself either, fud can point out genuine problems and save you from a bad decision at times). Good luck
