People often say just look at the IV which tells you the risk of the option, but there has to be a risk limit that is surpassed once the IV is fuckhuge. ie. if the volatility is high on a stock than an ITM call is as much a risk as a deep OTM call for a low volatility stock, so why not just buy the OTM call for the high volatility stock, since the risk for both of the calls are so high anyway and are likely to lose if the stock doesn't go up.
