the best case Link scenario is 81k per token at current US dollar valuation. BUT. Even if it doesn't hit that, the reason you purchase link isn't because you're going to sell it. Its because you're going to stake it and earn dividends. There was a thread earlier today where a linkpool guy talked about his daily earnings, and he's making $200 per day pre staking at current link prices. Imagine what thats going to be in five years.

staking is just putting your link stack up as collateral. You put your link at risk, so you have to be rewarded for that risk. so for example i stake my link on a contract worth 10k, and i put 10k of my link up as collateral. They need to fucking pay me for that service, and in the early days they'll probably have to pay me 1k to do that.

the risk isn't going to be that big if you are smart. you might lose some, but your earnings should offset that loss and also keep you in the green.

GRT is probably fake and gay. If you actually are dumb and not joking with me, just stick with link, ethereum, and bitcoin and forget about everything else. Later on there will be another link, but it doesn't exist yet. Opportunities show up when they show up, not when we want them too.

its sorta available. Link is running a few nodes that are doing shit like price feeds for exchanges. But thats closed to the public more or less, and only verified partners are able to run the nodes and get the rewards. Linkpool.io is doing a service where if you buy some of their shares they'll let you stake some of your link with them. Basically their deal is if you give them your link, they'll operate the node for you and pay any fees or penalties they incur through their own fuck ups, so you're not at risk. In exchange you have to buy one of their shares and give ten percent of your profit to them, but thats still pretty fucking good because you get 90% of the profit at basically zero risk. But their shares are crazy expensive right now and are probably going higher, so we probably missed out. There will be a lot of other services like linkpool in the future, so keep your eye out for them.

so staking rewards are going to be in equilibrium witht he price of the token. for example if the token is worth 25 bucks like it does today, and staking comes out tomorrow and pays 10%, well, the price is going to rocket up. Who wouldn't want to put their money into something that guarantees ten percent returns? Thats unheard of. But as the price goes up the returns will go down. If they go too low, like 2% returns, then the price will drop until the returns go up. So i expect something like 3-5% returns to be the stable link staking rewards once the dust settles. But in the early days the rewards are going to be crazy, like 25% crazy, so its going to drive the price up to the moon. $1k eoy is a meme, but the price will eventually go aboe 1k i'm sure of it.

Thats 200 bucks right now, but what about the future? the most optimistic scenario of 81k means that guy just earned shy of a million today. Just like bitcoin maxis only think about stacking sats, we have to think about stacking link rewards because of what the future value will mean. again, that 8 chainlink he earned was 200 bucks, but when chainlink is 200 dollars hed only earn one link. When link is 2000 dollars he'd only earn 0.1 link.
