What I think is happening is that you guys are making such an impact that these fat cats are worried that they have to get up and put in work to earn a living.

There is NO organized effort by those us who moderate this community to promote, advise or recommend any stock. It is against our policy to do so and we feel it is crucial to allow members to be able to share their ideas amongst each other with autonomy.
The only time we intervene is when we notice any unscrupulous characters appear thinking they can take advantage of our members. We do our best to identify them quickly and remove them from our community.
There have been accusations of some inappropriate conduct coming from this community. These are baseless accusations as I have not seen any evidence of this taking place here. You guys know better but I'm going to say it anyway for those who have only recently joined this community that we don't do that stuff here.
People like to talk shit about you when you're a winner, it just comes with the territory. In reality, their product is a database connector with some nice stored procedures and visualization.
The main problem with that is integrating these to a users system is a bitch, creating the relevant reports are too. Supporting the whole thing so it does not implode when something changes in the backend systems is also a nightmare.

It is not scalable at all, they are basically a data science outsourcing company. They will drown in integration and support costs in 1-2 years. Good engineers will leave. The reports will come in from disappointed clients. Stock plummets.

The low latency thing is literally 10% of what they do. Quant companies running these bots do all kinds of crazy shit from TA to parsing earnings report PDFs and watching how many pictures there are: the more pictures, the less trustwortthy it is, because they are trying to hide somethign with flashy stuff.

Quant is not the same as HFT. HFT is maybe a specific type of quant trading. Algo trading the news could be HFT and even TA on the tick chart if you could call it that but traditional TA has nothing to do with HFT.
