Are mansions really worth it? Anybody have experience living in one? Do they fill that feeling of emptiness?

I don't live in one, but I've been is smaller ones as an electrician and they're not that nice. Have to walk a lot and clean a lot. Maintenance and heating is a nightmare. They're just for show.

A normal house and a small farm is better in every way

As long as I have the rooms you'd normally expect in a house plus a cinema room, bar, games room, gym, study/office and wine cellar I'm happy. Doesnt need to be a mansion.

If you're really loaded and have 100x more money than you'll ever be able to spend, sure go for it, buy a mansion or 3. The heating costs would be nothing to you, and you can pay people to take care of the place. And you don't even have to stay there when you don't want to.
But to me, true happiness would be on a smaller house on a cozy-sized farm. Wake up every day and with your family feed some animals. Tend to some crops. Maybe chop some firewood. Have a kickass workshop or barn and build shit with my hands. Eat natural food. Drink and make smores around a campfire at night where you can see stars. Set up targets and shoot off guns and bows and arrows and have a good time without anybody bitching. And best of all, no niggers within at least a dozen miles.
