In the EU commission and ECB forecasts, it's the only large country in EU with a reasonably optimistic post-COVID-hysteria economic future.

Unemployment low because buffered by Ukrainians, debt offset by inflation, good investment opportunities and decent industry.

Government incompetent in most areas but based in terms of culture war, which over the next decades will bring an influx of rich boomers from Western Europe, which is rapidly becoming shit.

I have hope for Polska. You should too.

Rich boomers don't exile themselves to poor countries. They don't think Western Europe is becoming shit, which is the problem. In fact it's the opposite. Whenever an Eastern European person acquires wealth he leaves for the US or Western Europe. Young people in Eastern europe try to leave as soon as they have their degrees.

You're thinking in terms of 2005-2010.

France, Spain, UK, Italy have 20-40% youth unemployment. Very few Eastern Europeans leave nowadays. Doctors and nurses maybe, but not engineers or programmers. Those come to Eastern Europe en masse.

And yeah, in the 90s Spain or southern France were the destinations for rich old people to retire. But that's quickly becoming "diverse", so I'm pretty sure Poland and around will become lucrative.

You have to go back work Piotr. You can't just work 4 months in Germany then flex on your fellow slavs back home.

Poland has always had an inflation rate higher than most EU countries.

I don't know what happens to countries that get flooded with a bunch of poo Indians. I assume it's not bad because they don't commit crime and work jobs/own small businesses, become doctors, and such. But you look at India and you have to wonder what happens at a tipping point.

We're talking about rich boomers here right? Rich boomers aren't the ones in contact with diversity. Which is why they don't see any problems with the current state of our countries. Rich boomers don't take vacations in Nice, they go to cap dantibes or other villages. Believe me, the south of france will stay huge for a long time. People want to live in comfy, warm beach towns not in post-communist cold and grey depressing cities.

Young, intelligent and ambitious people in Western Europe leave for the US, Canada or Asia. Not Poland and Ukraine.
