Me too. Unlimited qe and zero interest rates for the sake of saving boomer's retirement assets caused this situation. I live in a small town in germany. People are paying now a lifetime's earning for a normal house. It's insane. Generally you're buying from a boomer who got it for 30% what you spend. At the same time we pay the debts now being accumulated to "save" the economy. In reality they are taking away our rightful opportunity to buy into a consolidated market. Also in case unemployment should hit, young people don't have the big problems than oldfags. They can adjust and learn. Is this the biggest scam in history so far?

Its the fact no one can use land to its best possible use, if they did there would be lrofit to be made but the price of housing would go down.
Why do you think its so hard for a contractor to develop condos on a peice of land without neighbors fucking him over? Or the fact that certain neighborhoods only allow single family household on a peice of land?

A lot of it is because westersern countries allow foreigners to buy property. I live in Wash state in the USA. We have locals that can't buy homes because Chinese and Indians are outbidding them and driving market prices up to ridiculous levels. Remove foreign buyers and homes would be cheaper and easier to acquire.

This is such an easy problem to fix, especially when foreigners start buying investment properties. Have the government tax them extra and direct those funds to help out American citizens, especially first time home buyers. Why are our politicians so ignorant?
