so there's two different Flare things: Flare Network and then Flare Finance. the airdrop you're already signed up for is the first Flare, which is going to be awesome. you can put your XRP (and now LTC) in the Flare network to get fXRP or fLTC which you can use Spark/FLR (the tokens you will receive on the airdrop) to loan out and earn money. you can also stake your XRP and earn passive income because they'll use your XRP to get information about the price.

but there's this other thing, Flare Finance, that is a little more complicated- it's basically DeFi on the Flare network. There's like 6 different products. after Flare comes out there is going to be another airdrop- the directions aren't clear yet but what we know is that they'll send you another coin called dFLR that you will switch for a coin called yFLR. you can use yFLR for a bunch of different stuff (see: the link i posted above). One of the things is, if you hook up a miner GPU and mine BTC LTC or ETH directly onto the Flare Finance network, you get rewarded. I think the coin they reward you with, yFIN, is going to be worth a lot of money because it's used for a bunch of different stuff. I'm especially interested in their DeFi mutual fund. Follow Flare and Flare Finance on twitter, they give out updates pretty often.
