Who are your main competitors and how do you compare, i.e. what is your competitive advantage?
Traditional cloud: The Hyperscalers
Decentralised cloud: IExec, Golem, Filecoin, Near, Matic

Because the team comes from a data centre and cloud provider backgrounds, we took a different got to market approach. CUDOS is bridging the gap between traditional cloud (Which is a $200bn per year industry) and blockchain enabling the scalability and flexibility of traditional cloud with the decentralised and trustless nature of blockchain.

At the moment, if you want to scale computing you typically need to use the large hyperscalers like AWS, Google, Alibaba etc… These are very expensive resources and you pay a premium.
CUDOS enables traditional cloud computing to scale on the CUDOS network and use the spare computing capacity. You also expect to consume these resources via known API’s which is what is used to scale. CUDOS provides this capability.

CUDOS was designed to use already existing computing capacity, we have a desktop client and OS which makes use of the devices spare computing. This will run on a PC, games console, or in full data centre environments.
The closest you have to this at the moment in my opinion is Filecoin for storage, we are doing the same for Computing. We are actually working with the Filecoin / Protocol Labs team on the storage integration side.
There currently isn’t a successful cloud computing marketplace that does this at the moment that can also service non blockchain compute. There are leaders in the protocol space. These include the likes of Near Protocol, Oasis Protocol, Matic Network. The vast majority have focused purely on smart contracts. You of course have Ethereum and the upcoming Ethereum 2 as well.
CUDOS enables you to scale out compute on EVM/eWASM, Docker Containers and VM’s on a global compute network.

You do need to come from a service provider background like we have. We spoke with a number of other projects in our space whilst in early development and all were approaching from the demand side, underestimating the complexities of the supply side. Given our background, we knew that securing the distribution base of supply first was critical to scaling. We have over 30,000 compute nodes and over 150,000 users which is scaling quickly, which gives us substantial global compute capacity. We have AMD rebranding our technology which you will see in the coming weeks, and Ultra integrating our compute engine, between them is due to expand the network to over 1 million nodes in 2021. We are currently live in over 145 countries. As well at this network, we have been busy signing up global data centre providers and bandwidth providers to expand the network further.

The difference is we took a market approach first and applied the technology to that which is what is giving us the quick scale of network and users. I say quick, but we have been working on this for 3 years now!

>> No.26321924

>>26321692
They want to partner up with AMD and PS5 and EeksBawx have AMD hardware, sooo there is a small chance.

If Cudos ever makes it, maybe the next console iteration (PS5 pro or PS6) might have it. But thats still few years away imo. Cudos is not some pajeetcoin which pumps in 3 days and dumps in 1, the team theirselves have a 120 month plan to distribute their tokens, so you can really see its futuristic stuff.

Maybe it will go x100 one day, maybe it will be forgotten.

Yes uniswap.

I talked to the Admins. There will be more exciting announcements coming Q1 integrated with top exchanges. There will also be an official tweet coming soon from AMD. This coin will rocket! Certainly not a pajeet scam coin. Right now is the time to accumulate. Be patient this is not a pump and dump coin. Also, check out the staking benefits!

Money aside, it would actually be a really cool project.
Imagine using your PS5 to help computing a new medicine, meteors and whatnot.

Even if this coin eternally stays sub $1, I wish the team best of luck

It's similar to Avalanche distribution.
AVAX does un-lock every quarter while Cudos does it 1/365.
Sell pressure is minimal.

I've been in crypto for years, this project seems to cover all basis in regards to data infrastructure, input and output resources on a local/macro level... I'm really finding it hard to believe there so low marketcap, I think this is a more practical use then filecoin etc, and also think they will have a product to market alot better.

Whats the catch? why the drop though? Noone just knows about it? if thats the case it might be a good opportunity.

I have a bag I purchased like a week ago, cool to see it on biz

Not a newly assembled start-up or team either. If you dig into the likes cudo-miner, cudo-ventures, cudo-gamer, cudo-donate and cudo-compute you’d come to the realization that they’ve been building a pretty strong ecosystem for quite a few years. If you read their AMA’s it just looks like a team working with the right people (Filecoin, AMD, Delphi, etc) to get their ducks in a row before making each next step. In one of them they talk about how they’ve been in communication with top exchanges for quite some time making sure they check all the boxes so I’d imagine those listings coincide with the AMD tech rebrand.
