Im thinking about tampering with my grades. I know they sometimes check if candidates have the degree they claim, but do recruiters also cross-check to verify grades? Its not a huge position, just entry level, but I still feel like it would give me an edge. Also I dont live in the hellhole known as the USA so its not illegal to lie on your resume here.

My motto is this: people only get head by cheating and exploiting others so lying about grades is kiddy stuff

Corporations don’t give a fuck about your grades, OP. You either have a degree, or you don’t.

They might say they dont, but recruiters are people and numbers are helpful to determine if someone is capable within a certain field. Say it all comes down to two equally competent candidate. The recruiter is completely 50-50. One has a very high GPA and the other has a mediocre/low GPA.

Pretty easy choice.

It costs money to verify transcripts. 9/10
Times they’re not going to go out of their way to spend more money to verify your grades against someone else’s. They’re going to do the bare minimum required background check, and choose who ever the got along with better
